Welcome to the web home for the Cleveland Hts Womens Hockey Program
We are an adult women's hockey program that practices and plays at the Cleveland Hts Recreation Center. We provide beginner instruction as well as challenging league and tournament play for more advanced players.
the POWHA schedule for the Icehawks and Falcons is mostly set - take a look, and we'll get the rest up as it is finalized.
For the 2009-2010 season, we will be fielding the following teams:
Icehawks - a travel team participating in the PA/OH Women's Hockey Organization (POWHA)
Falcons - a POWHA exhibition team - no travel, but will play the POWHA teams that come into town to play the Icehawks (so more folks can play more games!)(thanks Laurie)
Eagles and Raptors and Griffins(?)- participating in the Cleveland area's local league, the Northeast Ohio Women's Hockey Organization (NOWHO) . These teams will play each other, as well as Mentor, Strongsville and hopefully, the Momsters from Gilmour.
This site provides information (contacts, schedules, rosters, results) for everything going on in the Cleveland Hts Women's Program. The calendar here has all the games and practices listed. The 'POWHA' schedule lists all the Icehawks games (both league and exhibition) and games for the Falcons as well. The 'NOWHO' schedule lists all the games for both the Eagles and Raptors. When tournament rosters and schedules are available, they will be added under the 'tournaments' division. Rosters for the Icehawks, Eagles and Raptors can be found by clicking on the team name under 'Teams'. To look at game scores - please click on 'schedule' and then the appropriate division (NOWHO, POWHA or tournament). To see the recap/coach's comment, please click on the score of any game.
There's a ton of new stuff happening with the 3rd team, etc, so hang in there and we'll get it all posted ASAP.

Icehawks 07-08 POWHA Champions!
Way to go Icehawks! Playing with tremendous focus and effort - the 'Hawks beat the Columbus Bandits 3-1 to win the POWHA Lower Division Championship. The Icehawks reached the finals with a 4-0 semifinal victory over the Pittsburgh Puffins. In both games we had near perfect play - great hustle and intensity from all the skaters, solid goaltending when we needed it and both games were never in doubt.
