The Cobra Soccer Club is owned and run by Sean and Leslie McNamara. Sean grew up in England, after the family moved from Blarney, in County Cork. He teaches and coaches for Mayfield High School. Sean is the head coach for the boys' team, and teaches Honors English. Leslie is a Clevelander, born and raised. She has a degree in Theatre and Fine Arts, as well as in Religious Studies. Although Leslie taught for many years in the English Schools System, she resumed her ministerial duties after returning to live in the States. The Cobra Soccer Club is particularly proud of its coaching staff. The coaches' wonderful, original techniques and skills are as diverse as their backgrounds. The coaches all work with children on a full time basis, so you can be assured your child will be working with someone who knows how to relate to the younger generation.

The Cobra Soccer Club provides programs for all ages and playing abilities. Each program is carefully designed to suit the players' needs and requirements. Our aim is to develop and advance a player's skill and technical ability, as well as stimulate the player's understanding of individual, and team positional play. The coaching staff of the Cobra Soccer Club takes great pride in the individual work spent on technical and tactical player development. We focus on individuals comprehension of the game being pushed to a higher level. Players are exposed to a higher level of technical skills and tactical situations. Being a small club, we try to be selective of our new players. We are looking for players who want to be the best. If you have the desire and motivation to improve your game, if you want to play at the premier level, if you want to play on Olympic Development Teams, if you have aspirations of playing college soccer, you are the type of player who will succeed at the Cobras.

Over the years Cobra Soccer Players have secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in soccer scholarships around the country. Cobra players have secured scholarships at some of the top soccer colleges in the country, and within the state of Ohio, including: Ashland, Bucknell, Butler, Clemson, Cincinnati, Dayton, Evansville, Florida State, Kentucky, Mercyhurst, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, Villanova, Wooster,.....Cobra Players are also playing at Ivy League Schools such as Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, and Princeton. Of course, some players simply join for the love of the game, the camaraderie, and to improve skill levels and understanding of the game.
