Congratulations go out to three of our 10 & U Angels - they have been playing with the Cheektowaga Crabapple 10 & U Travel team since April after they tried out and were chosen to be on the team. Their home field this year is at Standard Parkway. They play different town teams and they came in second place this season. They played the Lancaster Heat in the semi-final game on July 23rd and lost 2-1. Great game. Our girls should be proud of how well they played in the playoffs and the season. They also played in the Connie Mack Tournament and made it to the semi-finals against South Cheektowaga Fire and lost 5-3. It was a great defensive game. They won three games during this tournament. Let's congratulate Alyssa Luksch, Kristen Rohe and Stephanie Zakowicz.
..B-DIVISION ATHLETICS HAVE GREAT SEASON..
Congratulations to all the Athletics on a great season. All the boys continued to improve as the season progressed. The Cubs, Tigers and Phillies all presented numerous challenges throughout the season making it very difficult for the A's as they pursued an undefeated season.
The 2001 B-division champion A's are Connor R.,Jon-Erik B., Jeremy H., Jeremiah H., Mark M., Jessie S., Aaron S., Matt P., Damon F., Anthony H., Brandon W., and John M.
8 AND UNDER TOURNAMENT CHAMPS
The challenge of winning 4 games in 3 days was met by the 8 and under Cleve-Hill All-Star team which participated in The 1st Annual Jonathan Hales Memorial Scholarship
Tournament-sponsored by the N.Tonawanda Babe Ruth Baseball League.
Great defense featuring 3 double plays frustrated a strong Mattewson-McCarthy
who were coming off a championship of there own in last weeks Lancaster-Depew tournament. The story of the game, however, was the clutch hitting of Mike W. and
Connor R. With the game tied at 13 in the bottom of the 6th Mike W. led off with a
single and scored the game winning and championship clinching run 3 pitches later on
Connor R's double to right.
Congratulations to all the boys for fighting hard and representing Cleve-Hill baseball
with class.

During July we had a delegation of French baseball players come to Western New York and play at Clevehill Baseball. It was a fun time for all and we hope they enjoyed their experience in the Western New York area especially in Cheektowaga at Clevehill Baseball.
A thank you letter was received by our President of Clevehill Baseball from Dr. Jean F. Gounard, President of the Buffalo-Lille Association.
On behalf of the Buffalo-Lille Association Inc., I wish to thank you for hosting young Lille delegates this summer.
You are indeed true ambassadors for the Niagara region because our friends from Lille will carry forever fond memories in their hearts of their stay among us. Also, we all know that we now have an extended family in France that will help Buffalo and the Western New york area to be recognized for their outstanding human and professional qualities.
We also heard from our friends of the Baseball Club of Ronchin Lille, France after the horrific attack on our Nation on September 11. They wrote:
I want to express our sincere condolences. We are all shocked by the barbarity of these kamikaze pirates; this was a terrible affront to human dignity and an attack on the Western free world. I am deeply touched, to the depths of my heart. I want to express my complete solidarity for the American people. I am proud that my country supports yours, and that we are ready to act so that justice will be done. I hope that you are all well and I wait for your news.
14-15 Clevehill Boys Team #1
The Cleve-Hill #1 14-15 boys team has gotten off to the finest start of any Cleve-Hill team in recent memory. They are currently 10-0 and have shut-out their last 3 opponents. They have a good combination of pitching, hitting and defense. Offensively there are good hitters throughout the lineup; Matt Mackiewicz and Dan Eisenhardt are leaders in run scoring from the top of the lineup. Ryan Amos, Dan Polino and Jeff Chiarmonte have hit home-runs and are the leading RBI men. The pitching staff has thrown 5 shut-outs and includes Dan Polino (4 runs allowed in 20 IP, 2 complete game shut-outs); Ryan Amos 18 2/3 innings pitched, 38 strikeouts. Kevin Malaney, Dan Eisenhardt and Matt Mackiewicz round out a solid pitching staff which has led Cleve-Hill #1 to outscore the opponents 107-17.
Defensively, they are solid throughout with John Meyer, Mike Wawrzyczek, and Tim Sztaba making all the plays in the outfield, with Sztaba recently recording 2 outfield assists in one game. Jeff Kunkel and Adam Ives play both infield and outfield positions and contribute with good speed on the base paths. We are looking forward to contined success the rest of the season through the playoffs and Crabapple Tournament.

The 10 and under Dodgers finished the season with a 10-1-1 record! What a great season!!!!!!!! The best part was watching the girls develop and master new skills!
Let me tell you about them! We had 4 true rookies this year! Julia, Courtney, Gabby and Jackie! Jackie made all 3 outs in 1 inning with her excellent play at third base. Julia made a clutch catch of a pop fly to get us out of an inning! Courtney stopped a sure home run in a playoff game and Jackie had the winning run with her first hit this season!
Our veteran players also contributed to our great season!!!! Golden glove Angela was better than ever at second base! First base was covered by sure handed Ashley!
Christina, Cathryn, Shelby and Kristen did a fantastic job wherever they played! Kaitlyn our pitcher had a season to remember! and thanks to Valerie who was a wall behind home plate!
As always I appreciate the support of our many fans! Without the parents and grandparents we wouldn't have done as well! Your constant support kept our spirits high!!!!!! Thanks to all of you for taking the time to play catch in the backyard and for spending time showing the girls how to hold a bat and swing it properly! And the biggest thanks to Steve and Diane Kapsiak!!!!!!! Without their help things would have been difficult! Thanks to Steve for an excellent coaching job! and to Diane for keeping score and making all those reminder phone calls!

Giants 8 Reds 2
The Giants for the second consecutive game came from behind in quest of a championship. Their opponents in the championship game was a very determined Reds team who earned their way into the big game by knocking off the Dodgers by a 12-6 score. The Reds looked to take command of the game early when in the top of the first inning Ryan Thompson, Corey Gegenfeurtner, Jonathan Skorka, and Drew Bielanin strung together 4 consecutive singles which would score Ryan and Corey. But with bases loaded and no outs C.J. Rehbaum worked his way out of the jam by striking out Greg Frank Jr. and Josh Scheller before inducing Matt Schmidt to ground out to short on a play that was easily handled by Nick Galenti. In the bottom of the first the g-men roared back tying the game when Nick singled, stole second and third before scoring on C.J.'s triple to right. Ryan Bower's single would plate C.J. and the inning ended with the two teams tied at 2. Robbie Larkin would score the only and eventual game winning run in the second after getting hit by a pitch.
The Giants would tack on three more runs in the third on RBI singles by C.J. and Ryan that would score Fritz Simmeth, Nick and C.J.. In the bottom of the 5th Mark Macadlo and Fritz would score to extend the lead to 8-2.
Strong pitching by C.J., Nick, and Ryan was the big story of the game as the three combined to allow only 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 12 and only allowing one walk.
Congratulations to the Giants for their championship and to the Reds for proving to be a very formidable opponent.

In what can only be described as a pitcher's duel the Giants squeezed out a 2-1 victory against the Braves.
A trio of pitchers that included C.J. Rehbaum, Nick Galenti and Ryan Bower held the Braves to 1 run on 3 hits with 14 stikeouts. The pitching duo of Mike Wagner and Andrew Sadowy were not to be out done however, as the Giants also struggled at the plate with 2 runs on 2 hits and 10 strikeouts.
This was the third consecutive 1 run ball game for the Giants as the early season is beginning to show that the story of a-league baseball in 2002 will be pitching with each team having several talented hurlers.

Strong pitching continues to be the strength for a Giants team that is only allowing 2 runs and 2 hits while striking out 14 through the first 4 games of the '02 season.
Patient hitting was the key to tonight's game as the Giant batters waited out Red's pitching to draw numerous walks. This provided RBI opportunities for Jeremiah
Hughes who doubled to score two in the first. His double was followed by Anthony
Iannone's triple which also scored two. Later in the game Connor Rehbaum hit his
first home run of the season scoring Fritz Simmeth in front of him.

The first warm night of the early season made for some great baseball when the Dodgers and Giants played in a game that had it all.
Strong pitching, slick fielding and timely hitting impressed all who witnessed the Giants bottom of the sixth 5 run surge for a 6-5 victory.
More importantly the kids showed great respect for each other by their hard play and determination. Congratulations on your efforts.

The rain date is Thursday, June 19, 2003. This is a big fundraiser for us and it is painless for parents and players. No selling coupon books, lottery tickets, candy bars, candles, raffle tickets, pepperoni and I could go on and on. So let's have a great turnout this year. Remember coaches you can take more then one neighborhood/street map to collect. Last year the 12 & U girls kept coming back for more maps and were the winners.

The 8 & U girls participated in the Crabapple tournament and lost both their games to South Cheektowaga and Southline but they went home happy to be done for the year. Good luck next year!!!
A quote by Vince Lombardi - "We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time. "
CRABAPPLE TOURNAMENT 2003
Congratulations to the Clevehill 13 and U Boys Crabapple Champs!!!
and
Cleve Hill 10 and Under Crabapple Champs
As this years Crabapple tournament approached, Cleve-Hills 10 year old boys were primed to come away with the championship. Having recently completed the 10-year-old Babe Ruth district tournament in third place, Big Blue was confident that this years Crabapple championship would be theirs.
The strength of Cleve-Hill throughout this tournament was pitching. A foursome of hurlers which included Nick Galenti, Ronnie Lawrence, Connor Rehbaum and Mike Wagner combined for back to back to back shut outs en route to a 3 wins, 0 losses record in this years double elimination format. The impressive pitching statistics do not end there, however. This formidable pitching staff combined to hold their 3 opponents (Southline 16-0; NCAAA 6-0, NCAAA 5-0) to a combined .118 batting average, while striking out 30, walking 6, allowing only 6 hits and preventing all but 3 base runners from reaching third base.
At the plate the blue and gold displayed a potent line-up that had a cumulative batting average of .474. What made this hitting performance impressive was that each player who came to the plate made contributions, no one or two players carried the team.
In the championship game against NCAAA, Cleve-Hill was challenged throughout the game to come up with plays in the field. In every inning, except the 4th, NCAAA got a base runner on and the Cleve-Hill pitching and defense had to rise to the occasion to prevent the base runner from moving into scoring position. With two out and a runner on first in the bottom of the 6th inning, left fielder Andrew Sadowy tracked down a high pop-up to record the final out of the tournament. When the umpire threw up his fist signaling the final out, the Cleve-Hill team rushed their left fielder, knocking him to the ground in celebration.
The 2003 Crabapple 10 and Under Cleve-Hill championship team were: Nick Galenti, Ronnie Lawrence, Mitchell Maziarz, Larry Moochler, Connor Rehbaum, Andrew Sadowy, Zach Sheisley, Jonathan Skorka, Mike Wagner, Zach Williams; John Rehbaum (Manager), Mike Wagner Sr. (pitching coach), Brian Galenti (coach) and Lou Galenti (coach).

Clevehill Braves 10 and under girls
Regular season record 7-4-1
5/22/03 - CH 6- Southside 1-0
Veteran pitcher Kaitlyn Luksch had 17 strikeouts in Clevehill's first game and victory!
5/27/03 CH -21 NCAAA Angels-0
A 5 inning no-hitter thrown by Kaitlyn and great total team defense was the key to this shutout! Solid hitting and great patience shown at the plate led to our greatest run advantage of the year!
6/19/03 Bev. Hills 1-5 CH -6
The Braves came back in the bottom of the 6th to overcome a 3 run deficit. Clutch hits by rookies Hayley Towers and Gina Sayles started the rally! Veterans Mairead Manke, Kelsey Newton, Valerie Zgoda and Kristen Mahony made the difference! Tight defense by the rest of the team made this our most exciting game of the year!
6/24/03 Bev. Hill 2-3 CH -4
This was another tightly played game by the defense! Everyone played a great game !
6/28/03 Southline 2 - 3 CH-12
A grand slam by Ashley George was the high point of this game! 12 strikeouts for Kaitlyn Luksch and nice hits by Rebecca Flynn, Catherine Eisenhardt, Paige Keggins and Alexis Torsell helped the Braves to victory!!!!!
6/29/03 CH -2 SS1 -3
Our final game of the regular season was a unique experience for the girls! Tied after 6 regulation innings we went into extra innings! Unfortuntely we were not the winners but individually we had some great accomplishments! In the top of the 7th Danielle Bellman got a hit to get to first. The next batter Ashley got on base! Coaches Bob Flynn, Andy Bellman and Ken Newton told Sarah Keller to keep her hit on the ground. Her ground ball advanced the runners all the way to home plate ...........scoring 2 runs!!!!! This gave the Braves a 2 run lead!!!! Southside came up and scored 3 runs ending our 1st extra inning game on a losing note!!! But what a game it was!!!! It took a total team effort to get to the extra innings!!!
Great job girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coach Mary

Clevehill then advanced to the semi-finals against Lou Gehrig again, but lost in the extra innings 6-3. Clevehills pitching staff of Wagner, Lawrence, Rehbaum and Galenti were talk of the tournament allowing the fewest runs.
Lou Gehrig then went on and won the State Tournament and finished 3rd in the Regionals. Coach Wagner has since talked to Lou Gehrig coaches and they said Clevehill could easily have won it all and said they did not see a better pitching staff in Jamestown or New Jersey. They also said they dont look forward to seeing us next year.
Team players are Mitch Maziarz, Zack Frank, Josh Simmeth, Robbie Larkin, Andrew Sadowy, Nick Galenti, Ronnie Lawrence, Jonathan Skorka, Mike Wagner, Connor Rehbaum, Zack Williams, Larry Moochlar and Zack Shiesley.

I would like to thank all the players, board members and parents for a great 2003 baseball season. Being my first year as President of Clevehill Baseball League, I have learned a lot and am still learning. With the inter-league play it was a great baseball adventure for all. I hope all our players enjoyed this season, and many more to come. I am very proud of the way our players handle themselves in representing our league. From House to Interleague, to Tournaments. My goal for next year is to get the word out about our fine baseball league and keep the game as fun as the children make it. Remember IT'S STILL A GAME.. Your help with our league is greatly appreciated. Again many thanks to everyone who put this fine league a head of all their daily chores, from keeping the grass cut to making sure we have ketchup for your hot dogs. THANK YOU TO ALL !!

Major Division EXPOS WIN 11-4
For the second consecutive game the Expos scored 11 runs while pounding out 11 hits. Tonight the Orioles were not able to overcome the torrid hitting pace the Expos have been on while evening their record to 3 and 3. A dominant hitting performance was turned in by Anthony Iannone when he hit a homerun in each of his first 2 plate appearances, the first coming off Orioles starter Nick Galenti in the top of the first to pace the Expos to a 4-0 lead. Later, in the 4th inning Iannone hit a bomb to straight away center field that nearly hit off the fence, this tape measure blast came off of Ronnie Lawrence. Also, hitting homeruns in this game for the Expos were Anthony Scibetta and Joe Nowaczyk. While Nowaczyk's homerun was officially ruled a ground rule triple it was clear to anyone watching or participating in the game that the O's had absolutely no shot at preventing the run from scoring. So, his coach [ that would be me ] is giving him a homerun. Strong hitting performances were also turned in by Connor Rehbaum and Matt Schmidt who each had 2 hits and 2 RBI. On the mound first time starter Anthony Scibetta was brilliant through 4 innings allowing only 3 runs two of which were unearned on 4 hits while striking out 4 and walking none.

Major Division -Trio of Expos pitcher's silence Cardinal bats
The Expos hitters combined for 10 hits scoring 11 times as they jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on their way to a 11-4 victory over the Cardinals.
The pitching of Joe Nowaczyk, Ryan Gemmatti, and Anthony Scibetta proved too much for the Cardinals as the Expos once again evened their record at 4 wins and 4 losses after starting the season with a 1 and 3 record.
Joe, Ryan and Anthony combined to strikeout 14 Cardinal batters. Nowaczyk started the game and pitched the first 3 innings allowing one run on 2 hits, striking out 4 with 0 walks. Gemmatti pitched the fourth inning returning to the mound for the first time since being hit by a line drive in the pitching arm by Yankees Mike Wagner on June 11th. After striking out the first Cardinals hitter Ryan would struggle allowing the next three hitters to reach base, scoring one. At first it appeared that Gemmatti would not be able to battle back, but he did in impressive fashion striking out the final two batters. The final two innings Anthony Scibetta displayed dominant control. In between his 6 strikeouts Anthony gave up 5 singles while allowing only one run.
The Expos hope to continue their improved play when they take the field Wednesday, June 16th against Southside 5.

8U Softball CH1 - 4 vs SS2 - 3 Cleve Hill came back from being down 3-0 in the bottom of the 6th to win what was a scoreless game until the top of the 4th inning. Kelsi Sajak stated a hitting rally that followed with Tabby Miller, Lannie Aquila, Emily Maziarz, Nicole Zak, Emily Sley all getting singles, along with those great hits, Emily, Nicole and Emily had RBI's that tied the game at 3 all. Alexis Hunter came up to the plate, hit a single/RBI that forced Emily Maziarz home for the winning run. Great hitting girls!! Emily Sley stopped 4 grounders at 3rd base, 2 of those were force outs, Kelsi Sajak and Emily Maziarz connected from the mound to 1st base for another out and some great hustle from Jordyn Moochler for another out on first base. A special thanks to these girls for their respectful behavior on the field, during 2 injuries which delayed this game CH took a knee for each team and a round of applause when the one player made their way back to the field. That player who made their way back to the field was Emily Sley, who had a huge part in the win for the Hill. Great job CleveHill!!

BABE RUTH DIVISIONS:
A Division - CH Yankees 7 vs CH Cardinals - 2
The first inter-league game of the season for the Yankees ended up being a tough one. Both teams played a great game and slowly tacked on runs throughout the first, second and third innings. But the Yankees pulled it out in the 5th inning, scoring 3 more runs making the score 7-2. Fielding made this game successful for the Yanks - Tony Horton in centerfield, Andre Krajewski in left field, Aaron Sagun at first base, Alex Turski at third base, Dom Muscarelle at second base, Christopher Newman Jr. catching. Jeff Wilcox pitched an outstanding game as well. Congratulations to Alex Turski scoring his first HOME RUN of the season! Game MVP went to Aaron Sagun who made out after out at first base, pitched an intense two innings and two great hits! Great job Yankees on your seven inning winning streak!!
A Division SS Pirates - 34 vs CH Yankees - 12
An upsetting loss for the Yankees! Gaining momentum on their 7 games winning streak, the Yankees came to try and take over the second place position from the Pirates. With our four pitchers away at a tournament, we called up 3 B-Ball Yankees to fill in. Alex Turski, our "all-star" third baseman won MVP today for taking great leadership with his team. He pitched a great first inning and played an outstanding game both on the field and at bat. He kept the team motivated and energized! Patrick Sadowy stepped in to pitch the remaining 3 innings - striking 5 of the Pirates out! It was a difficult game but the Yankees held strong still scoring 12 runs to Southside Pirates 34 runs. Great job to all of the B-Ball-ers, Bailey Newman, Patrick Sadowy and Ryan Bailey, all of whom were also awarded MVP certificates as a personal "thank you" from the Yankees!

Major Division Expos 2 S.S. 3[ White Sox 1
EXPOS WIN PITCHING DUEL
Lead by the pitching of Connor Rehbaum the Expos won a classic 11-12 year old game 2-1 in 7 innings. Rehbaum went 5 2/3 innings allowing only one run while holding the White Sox to only 4 singles, 4 walks and 11 strikeouts. Only one base runner reached 3rd base. That would be the first batter of the game who would score on a two out single by J Fish. Rehbaum would also drive in the tying run in the fifth scoring Joe Nowaczyk. The hit would come after fouling off 3, 2 strike pitches Nowaczyk would get the win in relief going 1 1/3 striking out 3 and walking 3. The winning run scored when Matt Schmidt hit a two-strike single up the middle driving in Anthony Scibetta.
For the White Sox Caleb Susek pitched 6 strong innings recording the first 12 outs without allowing a baserunner. Susek would only give up one hit, one run, 4 walks and 9 strikeouts.
Major Division - The Expos continued their winning ways this time against S.S. 2 despite having to travel from Southside's fields where the game was scheduled to be played over to Beverley Hills. Upon arrival the boy's only had a few moments to warm up before taking the field. In spite of all the confusion the Expos were able to overcome a quiet first two innings at the plate where only one run was scored and take control of the game from the third inning on, where they broke open the game en route to a 11-1 drubbing of winless Southside 2. As usual the pitching staff for the Expos put on dominant performance led by starter Ryan Gemmatti who held S.S. 3 to one run on no hits through 3 innings of work. The lone run came in the 3rd after Ryan walked the bases full. The run scored when the Southside batter popped up putting the infield fly rule into effect. Unfortunately for the Expos the ball fell harmlessly to the ground as no one made an attempt to catch the ball. Ryan finished his three innings of work with 5 K's and 4 walks. The game was put on ice when Anthony Scibetta worked the final two innings striking out 3 and walking 3. Scibetta was also the hitting story of the game going 3 for 3 walking once and scoring four times. The perfect game for a lead-off hitter. The game was shortened to five innings because of darkness.

Cardinals win playoff game............

The Orioles answered back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning. Zach Mack had a two RBI double, and later scored to tie the score at three after one inning. Good pitching and tight defense dominated the second and third inning and neither team was able to score. The Cardinal offense erupted for four runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Cardinals cooked up some two out magic when Jacob Habermehl smashed a two RBI double, and Damon Fermo added a two RBI single. The Orioles added a run in the bottom of the fourth to make the score 7-4 after four innings. The Orioles scored in the bottom of the fifth inning when Zach Mack laced a single to left center and plated two more runs. The Cardinals were on top 7-6 going into the last inning. Zach Mack pitched the 5th and 6th innings for the Orioles and retired the side in order both innings. The Orioles trailed by a run going into their last at bat. Danny Graves blasted a double into left field to lead off the inning for the Orioles and went to third on a past ball. The Orioles had a man on third with no outs and that's when Brandon Wroblewski slammed the door shut. Wroblewski struck out the next two batters and fielded a come-backer to the mound, leaving a runner stranded on the third to end the game. It was high drama and both teams played well. Congratulations to the Orioles on a fine season. The red hot Cardinals will face the "Evil Empire" Yankess for the championship on Friday night.

Cardinals 15 vs Yankees 8
The CH 10 and under Cardinals ran the table and won the championship against the Yankees. The Cardinals won their last five games, including playoff wins against the Orioles and Yankees. The Yankees lost the pre-game coin flip and the Cardinals elected to be the home team for the game. Things started out well for the Yankees in the top of the first when they exploded for five runs. MAJOR DIVISION PLAYOFFS
Tuesday July 20, 2004 Expos 16 Cardinals 2
Having stumbled down the stretch losing four of their last five games the Expos needed to get an early lead over the Cardinals if they hoped to come away with a victory in the opening round of the playoffs.
The quick start they were looking for was accomplished as they jumped out to a 5-1 lead after one inning of play. That lead would swell to 10-1 by the end of the third, and there was no looking back. Multiple hit games by Anthony Scibetta, Joe Nowaczyk, Matt Schmidt, Connor Rehbaum and Ryan Gemmatti proved to be too much for the Cardinals to overcome. Scibetta's homerun in the second was the only round-tripper of the game.
The pitching of Rehbaum [3 innings, 1 run, 1 hit, 8 strikeouts] , Gemmatti [2 innings, 1 run 0 hits, 5 strikeouts] and Andrew Sadowy [ 1 inning 0 runs, 0 hits, 2 strikeouts ] tied up the Cardinal hitters all night enabling the Expos to swing at will after scoring early and often.
Wednesday, July 21, 2004 Expos 7 Orioles 2
The Expos advanced to Saturdays Championship round with a hard fought 7-2 win over the Orioles. Hot hitting and dominant pitching continue to carry the Expos. After piling up 15 hits against the Cardinals they came back with 13 hits in their game against the O's. Anthony Scibetta, Joe Nowaczyk, Connor Rehbaum, and Ryan Gemmatti now have back to back multiple hit games in the Double elimination playoff format.
Scibetta pitched brilliantly through the first three innings retiring the first 6 batters before allowing a two out run in the third, he would allow only one run on one hit while striking out 4 and walking one. Nowaczyk would finish the final three striking out 7 and giving up only one run on two hits and two walks.
Expos win Majors Championship
Congratulations to the Expos for their 3-0 performances in the playoffs and winning the league championship against a gritty group of Yankees who had to play 4 games in 5 days to reach the championship. The tough week was just too difficult for the Yanks [2-2 in the playoffs] to overcome. The Expos took a 7-0 lead in the top of the first sending 11 batters to the plate on their way to a 16-1 victory.
The 2004 Expos were: Anthony Scibetta, Andrew Sadowy, Joe Nowaczyk, Matt Scmidt, Connor Rehbaum, Ryan Gemmatti, Mark Macadlo, Anthony Iannone, Dylan Bajer, Tyler Bajer, Zach Thomas and Andrew Tatta who was injured for the season earlier this summer.
The 2004 Yankees were: Brett Fiend, Robbie Larkin, Mike Wagner, Drew Bielanin, Greg Frank Jr., Tommy Cooke, Ryan Thompson, Devyn Matiasjik, Zachary Frank, Zachary Lomas and Jeffery Sley.

2006 Season Highlights
![]() |
Like a rocket line drive from our T Ball Diamond 2006 is here. What a great fun year we had last season, and looking forward to 2006. A Great Big THANK YOU to all the parents and coaches who helped out last season. We will have 2 new diamonds behind Cleve Hill school this season. A new 60 foot Diamond and 1 new T Ball diamond in front of the concession stand. We moved the T Ball from Bkwik to behind the school. Over at the Bkwik Diamonds we have new dugouts for our sluggers with covered tops for the hot sunny days ahead of us this season. A lot of work has gone into making our and your league more safe and enjoyable for our children.
We are always looking for new faces and new energy for our baseball/softball league. Like I heard somewhere before "a new idea is a waste if its not heard". We are always looking for better ways to make our league a better place for our children to play in. That is and will be my goal since the first day I started to carry on the roll that past members have started for our children to enjoy the game of baseball/softball.
Just a small reminder that this is all Volunteer work. No one gets payed, just the enjoyment of seeing our children having fun. And that is what its all about,"HAVING FUN". Because its only a game. We are trying something new this season with our first registration at Dick's Sporting Goods store at the Galleria mall on February 4th starting at 11:00 am and running till 3:00 pm. We will have wall climbing and games for all our signups. Plus we are working on raffling off a new glove, bat and spikes for all who registers on this day at Dick's. We have new Teams this year. They are the Diamond Jaxx, The Raptors, The Sea Dogs and the Volcanoes.
One last word to everyone out there. I give you my word that I will work hard to make our league the best and enjoyable league for our children to play in. So I am looking forward to seeing all those smiles this season. Besides what can Brighten up a day better then seeing our children smile because they are enjoying themselves.
Thank you!

Heat wins 4-3... An exciting game for the two CleveHill teams. Both teams played a great game.. Brooke Bielinan and Tierra Starks both hit hard shots into the outfield for the Riptide, the Heat had a hard time keeping up with the doubles those two recorded. Madi Fermo played a tight defensive for the Riptide and Savanna Strait had a great play at two trying to keep the Heat from scoring. The score was tied in the sixth when Emily Maziarz caught a pop fly, then connecting with Ashley Pomanarcizk for a couple more outs. The Heat went on to bottom of the sixth when Tina Diblasio got the winning hit, a single that scored Mary Kate Mullen to win the game. Both teams had alot of fun that day, the game ended just the way the first one did... decided by one run in the 6th inning. The first game won by The Riptide, the second won by the Heat. As a player from the Riptide said to Coach Patti Fermo.. that seems fair! As always it was a pleasure to spend the day at the diamond with Coach Fermo and her team. They are coached well and made the day enjoyable for all of us. Great sportsmanship skills along with some great coaching made our last game one to remember!

8&U CH Brakettes 7
8&U CH Force 2
The two 8&U CH softball teams started their season against each other Saturday, 5/12, after the Opening Day Parade, with the Brakettes coming out on top by a score of 7-2. Megan McIntosh, Madi Fermo and Desyre Lee made four great defensive outs for the Force, but it just wasn't enough to contain the hard-hitting Brakettes. The Brakettes Sara Chilberti recorded three unassisted outs at 1st base, which left the Force with five stranded base runners in just two innings. Great hitting to start off the year by the Brakettes Sara Chilberti, Katherine Skorka, Katie Netti, Haley Muelbauer, Alexa Catalino and Taylor Betz. Newcomers Susie Horton and Jordan Benton also got hits in their very first game! The Force had some great hitting of their own, with Devyn Stahl, Madi Fermo, Desyre Lee, Emily McIntosh, Lydia Miller, and Brynn Manke all going 2 for 3. Lauren Onisk recorded an RBI on her hit. Newcomers Faith and Savannah Meyers each got hits on their very first at bats. Great game girls. The Force has vowed to "get even" the next time they meet! Submitted by Coach Patti Fermo and Coach Greg Netti.

8&U CH Force 3 8&U SL#1 3
The 8&U CH Force ended their second game in a 3-3 tie with Southline #1. Once again, the Force got some great hitting from their rookies with Caremine Seemeuller going 2 for 2. Brynn Manke , Lydia Miller, Emily McIntosh and Devyn Stahl went 2 for 3 for the second game in a row. The Force also got hits from their wonder twins, Faith and Savannah Meyers, Desyre Lee and Madi Fermo. Now we just need to put all those hits together so we can score more runs! Madi Fermo made three unassisted outs at 1 st base, and also caught a ball from Lauren Onisk on the pitcher’s mound for an out. Brynn Manke got her first assist in the field when she stopped a hit up the middle on the mound and threw it to Megan McIntosh at 1 st . Another great game Force! Submitted by Coach Patti Fermo

The Force started out a busy week of softball with a tough 9-0 loss against the Southside 1 Pirates. Lauren Onisk, Megan McIntosh and Madi Fermo went 2 for 2 at the plate. The Force also got some great hits from Emily McIntosh who went 2 for 3. Desyre Lee, Caremine Seemueller and Brynn Manke each got a hit. The Force was only inches from scoring a run, but a great defensive play by the Pirates caught our runner at home. Hard hit and well-placed balls stopped our team from recording any defensive outs.

10u CH #1 (15) vs Southline #1 (3) at Clevehill
10U CleveHill #1 started their season against Southline #1 last night with a 15-3 win. Jordyn Moochler started on the mound and had 6 strike outs in our first two innings... Emily Maziarz in her pitching debut, and struck out 4 in two innings. Mary Kate Mullen connected with Emily Tout for our first defensive out of the season and Tina Diblasio started us up with our first hit for the 07 season. Sabrina Alsonso had a great hit in the last inning to help finish up the game. Great start ladies!
May 23 8U CH1 8 8U NC2 13
NC2 defeated the Force 13-8. While it was another loss for the Force, it was definitely their best game of the season. The Force started off with 3 runs scored in the bottom of the first inning and were leading 4-2 going into the 5th inning, when NC2 scored 6 runs to take an 8-4 lead. The Force tied the game by scoring 4 of their own in the bottom of the 5th, but just couldn't stop their hard-hitting opponents who scored 5 more runs in the top of the 6th. The Force's Madi Fermo, Megan McIntosh, Desyre Lee and Devyn Stahl went 3 for 3 in the game. Lauren Onisk and Caremine Seemueller each had two hits, and Brynn Manke, Emily McIntosh and Paige Onisk each contributed with hits of their own. Desyre's double - by far the hardest hit ball all season - helped the Force's 5th inning rally. The Force also had some great defensive plays in the field. Megan McIntosh had two unassisted outs at 1st base and Madi Fermo caught two pop flies at pitcher's mound. Devyn Stahl made a great heads-up play at 3rd, tagging a base runner out, and Lauren Onisk took a grounder home from the pitchers' mound, denying NC2 another run. I think it was noticeable to all who watched the game that the girls are getting in the groove of things, both at the plate and in the field.
May 24
