Facilities:
Littlejohn Coliseum Littlejohn Coliseum has been the scene of 43 Clemson wins over ranked teams, including a victory over a #1 Duke team in 1980 and the 75-65 victory over #1 North Carolina in 2001. On 22 occasions, Clemson has upset a top-10 opponent.
Over the years Clemson has won over 70 percent of its games, many to capacity crowds of over 11,000 fans. It has been cited as the toughest place to play in the ACC because of the proximity of the Clemson fans to the court (right under the baskets) and the Tiger Band, which lends its underlying support of every game.
Littlejohn Coliseum was renovated and reopened on January 5, 2003. The overall building square footage was increased from 95,000 to 167,500. The square footage for both the training room and weight room was increased eight-fold, while the media facility was increased by 3.5 times. Over 2 million square inches of curtain wall as well as a new 700-ton roof were added. Fan amenities were also renovated, as restrooms were tripled and concessions areas were doubled. The renovations included all new purple cushion seats and a new playing floor.
The facility is the site of Clemson graduations and an outstanding schedule of concerts and performances that enhance the cultural environment of Clemson University.

![]() Fike Recreation Center Fike Recreation Center was recently reopened after a two-year, $21 million renovation. There is an eight-lane Olympic size swimming pool, 13.5' diving pool, six racquetball courts, three gymnasiums, a 35' x 60' climbing wall, six multipurpose volleyball/basketball courts, a 200-meter elevated walking track, not to mention the numerous aerobics rooms, weight-lifting machines, a cardio area, and even a Smoothie Shop. Use of Fike is available to all Clemson students.
Built in 1930, Fike Recreation Center has served a variety of purposes. It once was the field house for athletic teams and a residence hall for the football team. It is now an educational, wellness, and campus recreation building, including the McHugh Natatorium and the Swann Fitness Center.
Fike is named for Dr. Rupert H. Fike, the father of IPTAY (Clemson's athletic booster program). He was a member of the Class of 1908 and a civil engineering major while at Clemson. Dr. Fike received a medical degree from the University of Tennessee and was a member-at-large of the Clemson Athletic Council and president of IPTAY for 20 years.
