Schedule Update...
Clements Gray just keeps on rolling, I am glad to be back and look forward to seeing everyone at 5:00 pm tomorrow at MC Senior Field for warm ups. We will then have a week off, we will try to have a practice if Coach Tucker is available on Saturday, will advise after game tomorrow night. The remainder of schedule is posted, then we will play district July 5-8, and if we win district, we would advance to the next round to be held the following weekend in Cy-Fair, so please keep your calendars open for those dates.
I am looking for a volunteer to plan an activity for the team after our last regular season game on June 30 down in Clute. My thought is maybe all players and families go to surfside after the game and have a team Bar-B-Q on the beach, email if interested in coordinating this activity.

Week 1 Game Schedule
The schedule is out for next week as follows:
Tue, May 29 vs. Dulles at Frankie - 8:00 pm
Thu, May 31 vs. Austin at MC Senior Field - 6:00 pm
Lets meet at the field 1 hour prior to game for warm up. Optional hitting practice will be available from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday, May 28 at Frankie.

Practice Schedule, Week #2
Great workout last night, next week is our last practices before our first game, tentatively scheduled on Tuesday, May 29. We will practice Mon, May 21 & Thu, May 24 as a team from 6:00 to dark at Frankie Field and Wed, May 23 at 4:30 for pitchers only. Please make sure pitchers are available to pitch a short bullpen on Wed for Coach Sparks, and then we will further work on slide step, moves, and holding runners.

Practice Schedule
Parents, communication will be through this site. We had a great turn out last night to the first "Pitcher Only" session with Coach Steve Sparks. Each pitcher has a 20 minute work-out they should be doing everyday, ask them if they got their work out in?
Upcoming practice schedule will be as follows:
May 12, Sat - 1:30 pm w/ Chris Tucker (Optional if conflicts)
May 14, Mon - 6:00 pm - Team Practice
May 15, Wed - 4:30 pm - Pitcher Only Session w/ Steve Sparks
May 16, Thu - 6:00 pm - Team Practice
Please get your checks for $175 made out to Clements AABC to Mrs. Walthers who has volunteered to help me collect this Saturday, or no later than at Monday practice. Kids that have not paid will not be allowed to practice Monday unless paid.

Below are the field reservations for practice this Saturday.
JV will practice 9:30 - 11:30
Varsity will Practice 11:30 - 1:30
All Freshmen will practice 1:30 - 3:30
If you will not be in attendance please let you coach know.
Also, If you have not turned in your paperwork and 175.00, it must be turned in by Saturday. If you are not going to be at practice, you can drop it off at Coach Tucker's home at 16807 Rustic Colony (behind AMC theaters). Just put it under Orange Tray in the front porch.

2007 Incoming Clements Freshmen Summer Baseball
Clements Summer Baseball Program Information
Students who will attend Clements High School on the Fall of 07 are invited to play in the Clements Summer Baseball program. Our program consist of 1 Varsity, 1 JV and (depending upon how many players tryout) 1 or 2 incoming Freshmen team(s).
For those interested who do not play for one of the school teams in the spring of 07 tryouts will be held sometime in early to mid April. If you are an incoming freshmen or a current Clements student who did not play for the school in the spring, you will be asked to tryout. Please note that trying out does not guarantee you a place on a team. After tryouts, the team or teams will be selected and begin practicing the end of April or early May. We will try to arrange a scrimmage or two to be played before the start of the season.
Things will not be finalized until next spring but here is how the season usually plays out. Summer League games start the week school is out at the end of May. We play regular season games through the first week of July. Then all of our team participate in the League Tournament. For 07 I estimate the League Tournament will be played July 5,6 and 7th. Based on the teams season record and League Tournament record, a team may advance to the State Playoff Tournament. For the Summer 06 State Tournament our Varsity finished 2nd and our JV advanced to the Semi Finals.
If you are considering playing in our program in the summer of 07, please make note of the schedule above and plan your summer vacations, camps and select league participation accordingly.
