Cleburne Buzz is a girls basketball team coached by Chester Story. Coach Chester Story coached boys high school and college teams for 42 years prior to retiring a few years ago. The Buzz is extremely fortunate to have a coach of his caliber, but he says he does it for the girls. Coach Story played four years of varsity basketball for Austin College, was named Captain for three consecutive seasons and helped lead his team to the NAIA National Tournament in both his junior and senior years. As a player, he was named to the NAIA All American Honors, also named winner of the Pete Cawthon Award for best all-around athlete at Austin College his senior year, and was second in the NAIA in free throw shooting with 88.8 percent during the 1958 basketball season. In his coaching career, he was named Lone Star Conference Coach of the year twice and NAIA District IV Coach of the year by Texas Sports Magazine in 1981 (same year his team was champion of the Lone Star Conference in Texas and ranked 7th in the nation), was appointed to the Austin College Athletic Hall of Honor in 1973, has taken teams to national championship tournaments, coached high school Texas All Star teams, and coached college players in an international tournament in the Caribbean.
Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

WINNING IS A HABIT
"Winning is not a sometime thing it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in awhile, you don't do things right once in awhile, you do them right all the time."
