Ballplayers and Families...laptop raffle details
The CCHS Baseball booster Club will be kicking off our 2008/2009 fundraising efforts with a combined raffle with the players for three (3) Pentium-level laptop computers. Last year we tried this one out and raised almost $5,000 for the program. We will do it again this year, with a twist.
The parents and student/athletes will combine efforts to sell tickets this year. The entire sales period will last four (4) weeks with the players selling tickets for the first two (2) weeks (maximum allowed by UIL) and the parents will be asked to continue selling for the entire four-week period.
The raffle ticket sales period will kick off this Wednesday, 12 November 2008 at our regularly scheduled Booster Club Meeting and end at our scheduled 10 December 2008 Meeting. Drawing is scheduled to be that night or shortly thereafter – depending on ticket collection. Carolyn Waidhofer, Booster Club Vice President, will be chairing this event.
Tickets to be sold for $10 each will be handed out at the 12 November 2008 Booster Club Meeting or at class the next day on Thursday, 13 November 2008. We are asking each family to sell a minimum of 20 tickets - extras will be available for those who can and will sell more.
***NOTE: if you need more tickets, please contact Carolyn Waidhofer by November 20th. We will have a mid-point collection of funds on December 2nd, so that we can get updates on where we're at.
The monies will be used to complete the hitting facility and other equipment needed for the 2009 season.
