Southern Conferance IFL Champions 11-1

The Buccs won the IFL Championship Saturday against the York Tigers 30-20. This is the second championship in a row for the Buccs and it was just as sweet as the first. With the Tigers putting up a good fight til the very end. It was a game to remember, but in the end the Buccs showed up big with some big game plays from "MVP" Tavaris Walters. His performance was outstanding and unforgettable. The balance attack of the Buccs running and passing was the difference in the game. The running game was anchored by fullback Eric Dorcey and running sensation  Emmanual Marc who had over 100 yrds. on the ground. But the true rewards go to the Offensive Line for their outstanding blocking all game. With out the protection up front the teams General and QB "Pork" Jamel  Lowrie could not have pulled off one of the greatest performancese of his career. So kudos to everyone on the Buccs because in the end it took all of us as a family to win it all. Love you guys, until next year enjoy your championship you've earned it.

Player Signs Contract With Arena Team
The Buccaneers organization would like to congratulate Johnny Taylor on his biggest new accomplishment. Taylor is now playing Arena 2 football for the Leahighvalley Outlawz. He played his first game on April 21, in which he did pretty good for his new team. Johnny was going to be playing in his first season with the Buccs. But after watching what Taylor could do on the football field. The Buccs coach made a bold but honest decision to send him straight to the next level. In his own thoughts it would have been nice to have that kind of talent on the Buccs side line. And it was easy to see that Taylor was definitely a impact player and would have been a great star in the IFL. But in his own remembrance to keep a promise to always help as many as he could get to the next level. Which really played a big part in the coaches decision to push Taylor on up the ladder. It's great to see a out standing talent like his and now he can share it with thousands every weekend. Good luck Johnny and keep moving forward the sky is the limit for you.

The Buccs & P A L join forces to make a difference in the community
Even with the passing of our Asst.Head Coach Eric D. we're going to still keep up our drive to help the kids at the centers around the city. It was Eric who first lead us to be apart of the Police Athletic League and we will continue to do so. Our goal is to keep young people out of trouble by channeling their energies into recreational and athletic programs. By having a lot of young guys on our team we hope this could help bridge the gap between adults an our young people. The Buccs have agreed to volunteer our time every other Thursday to mentor the young people in the community by hold a mentoring program for those youth that are looking to find a way to succeed in life. It is important to us that we reach the young before it's to late, an try to encourage them as role-models to stay in school and get a good education. Our players an coaches, will be representing the Buccs in these centers and we will continue to do our part in this fight to help our youth.

DOC
A BUCCANEER WHO WILL TRUELY BE MISSED
THANK U

To everyone who may not know the Buccs have lost one of it's greatest leaders. Eric "DOC" Dockins has passed away to everyone surprise. Eric was always there whenever we needed him. He lead by example on and off the field, even when times got rough, for us he kept pushing us to be the best. When we got down on ourselves, he told us to lift our heads up & keep focus. To many of us he was that big brother that was needed just to guide you through the tough times. No one believed in us more then Eric he would believe in you even if you didn't believe in yourself. That's what type of person he was, if you didn't perform up to your potential he would let you know and tell you to "MAN-UP". Doc taught a lot of us how to be real men and when I say that I don't just mean being a man but being a reeeaal man. See it takes a real man to be able to look at each and everyone of us in the eye and say,  "fellas I love you and you are my brothers. Not one of us was man enough to do that but Doc didnt think twice about it. He never turned his back on us even when some of us deserved it. He brought us together as a family when we needed it the most, and never let us forget that we were family. In many ways it seem like he was that ANGEL sent down to guide us on the right path and now his job is done and he's gone home. We will aways remember you Doc and never forget anything you taught us. It was a pleasure to have known him and personally I'm glad I did. So this season is dedicated to you Doc and as he would say MAN-UP...& 1,2,3...Buccs.
