The Classics win their first tournament for 2007.
Liberty - American Pastime Classic
After stumbling out of the gates with a loss in our first game, we came back to knock of 3 straight 16u teams to earn a spot in the Championship game. We were tied or down the whole Championship game with a score of 7 - 4 heading into the bottom of the 7th inning with us the home team. We started the inning with 2 straight outs and then they gave us a walk and that was all we needed to open the flood gates. That one walk with 2 outs turned out to be 4 runs and the win.
3&2 - Memorial Day Classic
Classics still learning to play together. We ended up going 2-2 this weekend. Started slow out of the gates with a loss to the Andrew County Kings, rebounded with wins agains the Indians and St. Joe Titans. Then the Devil Rays were looking for pay back for last weeks loss in the last inning of the Championship Game and they came through with the win and the game finally ending at 2am Sunday morning. Classics got to sleep in on Monday and the Devil Rays went on to win it all.
