COACHING RESOURCES
(The following are not endorsed by Clackamas Little League. They are listed here as a resource.)

Positive Coaching Alliance
PCA Movement Statement: Positive Coaching Alliance, a national non-profit based at Stanford University, is creating a movement to transform the culture of youth sports so that every youth athlete can have a positive, character-building experience.

When the adults involved with youth sports understand and play their appropriate roles, youth sports becomes a beautiful experience, in which youth athletes—from grade school through high school—learn lessons that will last a lifetime.

To that end, PCA provides live and online workshops to train youth sports leaders, coaches, parents and athletes how to Honor the Game. At the core of our training are techniques proven to improve athletic performance and the principle that every child deserves a Double-Goal CoachTM, one who strives to win while achieving the second, more important goal of using sports to teach life lessons.

National Alliance for Youth Sports
NAYS Mission & History: The National Alliance For Youth Sports, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization seeks to make the sports experience safe, fun and healthy for ALL children. In addition, NAYS promotes the value and importance of sports and physical activities in the emotional, physical, social and mental development of youth. The Alliance believes that participation in sports and activities develops important character traits and lifelong values. In addition, NAYS believes that the lives of youngsters can be positively impacted by participation in sports and physical activities if the adults involved have proper training and information.
