** 2009 PLAYER APPRECIATION WEEKEND - TELL US WHAT YOU THINK **

This year's Player Appreciation Weekend was a rousing success, if the lines on the bounce houses, dunk tank and sunburns are any indication.  The weather was great and so were the games and the Home Run Derby.

Clackamas Little League would like to know what you think of this year's Player Appreciation Weekend - good and bad.  Send your comments to Kris Cook at cook10000@comcast.net.

 ** CLL LEAGUE APPAREL **

This season we are pleased to offer custom embroidered apparel!  You can purchase hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, blankets and much more!!  You can get an order form from your Team Parent or you can download it here!  Show your Pride!

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Please, Please, Please, do NOT allow players to swing their bats in the dugout. Do NOT allow them to pick up a bat in the dugout until they are exiting for their turn at the plate. It is especially important for ALL parents at the younger divisions to keep a watch for this at games and at practice. Thank you for protecting all of our children's safety!

IS MY GAME CANCELLED?

Games are cancelled on a game-by-game and field-by-field situation.
Each field has its own temperment. For example, just because a game on the back Tee Ball field at Bilquist is cancelled, it does not mean a game on a different Bilquist field or another location is also cancelled.

Games will be cancelled by coaches after they have had a chance to physically inspect the field. Given the Oregon weather, there may be times when a game is not cancelled until 30-45 minutes prior to game time. Coaches will try to give as much advance notice of a cancellation as possible.

Player safety is our number one concern. If it's dangerous to play, the game will be cancelled. If the field is fine, even if it is cold or wet or otherwise miserable, the game will be played as long as it's safe to do so.

PITCH COUNT RULE
Starting with the 2007 season, pitchers in all divisions of Little League Baseball, from age 7 to 18, will have ...

DIVISIONS

Clackamas Little League offers the following divisions of play:
TEE BALL: ages 5 - 7
ROOKIE BALL: ages 6 - 8 (baseball only)
FARM BALL: ages 7 - 9
MINORS: ages 8 - 12
MAJORS: ages 10 - 12
JUNIORS: ages 13 - 14

Tryouts are necessary to play at the Majors and Juniors divisions and are strongly encouraged to be drafted on a Minors team.
Assessments will be held to place players at either Rookie of Farm Baseball.

Please check the following handouts to see what your child's league age will be for the 2007 season.
