It is important to make this workout happen because Granite Regional is the Metro League CC Course.  All 3 Metro League Meets are held here.  Plus it is our only hill workout and our only dirt trail workout.

Official Workouts: August 17th to September 4th
McClatchy Track:  Mon through Fri 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM

The team has had an excellent summer turn out.  The official (CIF) season begins on Monday, August 17th.  All athletes interested in competing on the CKM Cross Country team are required to attend all practices starting on August 17th.  These workouts are open to all student-athletes and siblings (parents too) who will be attending CKM.  We are a competitive "no cut" sport and have a place on our team for anyone willing to make the commitment to the team.

Workouts will be based on previous running experience, summer training, and athletic ability.  Practice is set up to gradually get athletes into shape.  The philosophy is to increase milage and workouts slightly each week.  It is important to make the commitment as your participation will greatly add to the team's successful dynamic and winning tradition.

Teammates have also found that joining the team with a friend helps during the first week of practice because you have someone to train with while getting into shape.  This is a good way to get friends involved and we know there is power in numbers.  Incoming freshman are at an advantage by attending workouts because they get to meet other CKM student-athletes who will help them with the transition into CKM.  Please e-mail COACH CARBONI with any questions.

Summer Workouts: June 22nd to August 13th
McClatchy Track:  Mon through Thurs 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM

These workouts are open to all student-athletes and siblings (parents too) who will be attending CKM.  Practice is set up to gradually get athletes into shape.  The philosophy is to increase milage and workouts slightly each week.  It is important to make the commitment as your participation will greatly add to the team's successful dynamic and winning tradition.

Students attending summer school will be able to participate in practice and then get to class on time.  These workouts are the base of the Cross Country Team's success.  Teammates have also found that this is a good way to get friends involved.  There is power in numbers.  Incoming freshman are at an advantage by attending workouts because they get to meet other CKM student-athletes who will help them with the transition into CKM.  Please e-mail COACH CARBONI with any questions.
