Metro Meet #1:  Wednesday, March 25th @ JFK
Bus Departs at 12:20 PM
First Event at 2:00 PM (Estimated finish time 6:30ish)
All Athletes will need to arrive to the bus on time and in uniform, trainers, and team colored sweats.  Only eligible athletes will be released to attend this meet.  Release papers will be distributed on Tuesday at the end of practice.  Athletes should pack their lunch (plus snacks and fluids) and eat them on the way to the meet.  Plus have additional food and fluids to consume during the meet.  **Athletes should plan to stay through the final event (4x400 Relay)**

Picture Day:  Thursday, March 26th
FRONT of CKM:  3:30 PM
All Athletes should arrive to the front of school by 3:30 PM in uniform and trainers.  Athletes will also need to bring the correct amount of money if they are purchasing pictures.  The photographer does not carry change.  Order envelopes will be passed out at practice this week.

Metro Invite:  Saturday, March 28th
Burbank HS:  Arrive by 7:00 AM (SHARP)
All the Metro Teams are hosting this invite.  We need athletes to arrive by 7:00 AM to assist in setting up the venue.  We also need a few more parents to help with the ticket booth during the day.  Please E-Mail Coach Carboni if you can assist with the ticket booth.  Athletes will need to provide their own transportation and arrive in uniform, trainers and team colored warm ups.

This invite has changed their format.  With only 2 Divisions (Varsity Boys & Girls), many younger athletes may not have an event this weekend.  Additionally, open events are only accepting the top 24 or 32 athletes to compete in the event.
All Athletes are encouraged to attend the meet to support the Team and further increase their T&F IQ.  Please arrive in uniform, trainers, and team colored sweats.  Please no Uggs, Vans, Converse, Flip-flops.  Please check the weather forcast and plan accordingly.

Elk Grove HS:  Bus Departs the FRONT of CKM at 6:40 AM
Athletes will need to arrive to the FRONT of CKM by 6:40 AM.  The bus is a "DROP ONLY" which means Athletes will need to arrange transportation home from Elk Grove HS.  The meet usually finishes about 4:00 PM.  It is recommended that parents and athletes communicate by cell phone or text to relay race times and duration of meet.  Athletes should support their fellow athletes through the final event of the invite (4x400 Relay).
Athletes will need to arrive to CKM in uniform, team colored sweats and trainers.  Do not pack Uggs, Vans, Converse, or similar types of shoes.  Athletes should also consider packing the following:  water, lunch, good snacks, more water, sun screen or rain gear (check the forecast), towel, spikes, throwing shoes, and any other personal items you will need during a 10 hour track meet.

CKM Entries

Recycled Shoe Fund Raiser:  Through March 15th
We are partnering with Fleet Feet of Sacramento and Project SOLE to collect old athletic shoes (running, court, basketball, etc.) to raise money for weekend invites for the athletes.  Athletes can bring their old shoes to practice or to the Team meeting on Tuesday 2/24.  All shoes can be recycled no matter their condition.

Parent/Athlete Meeting:  Tuesday, February 24th
CAL Middle School Library:  6:00-6:45 PM
All families are expected to be represented by at least one parent and their athlete(s).  Season expectations, goals, transportation, and Team norms will be reviewed.  Please make arrangements to attend so everyone (parents, athletes and coaches) are on the same page prior to the start of weekend meets.

Daily Practice: 3:30-5:30 PM
Meet in the T&F Area under the Scoreboard

Official Start of T&F Practice:  Tuesday, February 10th
On the CKM Track:  3:30-5:30 PM
All Athletes interested in competing on the CKM T&F Team will need to try-out starting Tuesday (2/10).  The only athletes exempt for the first 10 days are Wrestlers and Basketball players (who will need to attend the T&F practice following their last competition).  The final Team will be posted Friday, February 20th.  No Athlete will be cut on ability.
All district paperwork must be turned in and cleared through Coach Feickert in the Boys PE Office.

Track & Field Conditioning:  Monday-Thursday
On the TRACK:  3:30-5:00 PM
Dates:  Jan 5th-8th, Jan 12th-15th, Will NOT meet during Finals, Jan 26th-29th, Feb 2nd-5th
All Athletes who would like to try out for the T&F Team are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to attend these conditioning sessions.  All Athletes need to be cleared (all paperwork completed and returned to the Athletic Director) prior to participating in Team Conditioning.
