Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League: Welcome
CJSL (Est. 1933) has established a legacy pre-dating the United States Soccer Federation. Enriched with continued Influences from both the Old Word and the New, the league is gearing up to meet the challenges before it.
We invite all honorable parties, recognizing & embracing the diversity of the Big Apple, to join us in an effort to provide an environment that enriches the lives of our youth through participation in the sport of soccer, calcio, futbal, futsball, nogomet, podosfero ; UNITY, RESPECT, and CHARACTER ON and OFF the FIELD is our ultimate G-O-A-L!

December 18, 2009 - With their eye on the future and intent on improving all levels of play in Metropolitan Area, the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League is very proud to announce a new joint venture with the Long Island Junior Soccer League. Starting with the 2010 Spring Season, the CJSL will play crossover games in the Boys Under 9, 10 and 11 age groups against teams from Long Island Junior Soccer League in March, April and May. Long Island Junior is one of the world's largest youth soccer leagues with 1,500 travel teams and 98 clubs in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens, and will also be accepting Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League Girls teams as guest teams, this Spring. The CJSL is one of the most historic youth organizations as the league's founding in 1933. This agreement will elevate the level of competition while offering a diversity of opponents, benefiting all players from both leagues. "This initiative will bring soccer in the New York City area and Long Island to the next level and will increase the enrollment possibility in the CJSL. It's something that has never been done before," commented CJSL President Burt Wilkes. “I'm very excited about the cooperation between our leagues and I think that it's long overdue," offered LIJSL President Addie Mattei-Iaia.
