Fal 2009 U10 Leagues rev 8/23/09
THi Coaches/Team Managers,
The attached excel spreadsheet is the contact information for the teams within the U10 division. Use the tab on the bottom of the excel spreadsheet to locate your division. Please check to make sure your contact information and game dates are correct. If not, please contact me immediately with the correct information.
Just a few things, the word document is the travel packet you received this afternoon. You have another copy just in case. You are responsible for following these rules and guidelines set forth by the district.
Brian Carey has offered to assist me with the U10 girls. If there are any questions, please contact Brian at scdgirlscommissioners@gmail.com. Please put U10 Girls Travel Rec in the subject line.
Finally, your club referee assignor must assign three certified referees to your games. Only the referee assignor can assign games and not team managers, if your club does not have a referee assignor or your club is having trouble finding referees please contact Jerry Korn - SCD District Referee Assignor. If only the center referee shows up and one or both assistant referees are missing, the teams need to find volunteers to act as club linesman and their only duty is to raise the flag and signal out of bounds - they cannot call goals, offsides, fouls, or even signal direction on a throw in. Failure to comply with this could result in serious problems if issues arise (such as forfeits, protests, lawsuits ... to name a few).
Good luck this upcoming season. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at this email address.

Brian Grindrod
SCD Girls Commissioner
Rosters and Passes:
SCD District Registrar Lou Santos certifies all U10 rosters. Teams must have certified rosters and coaches need a coaches pass. Referees are required to check rosters and passes prior to play.
Referees:
The home club will provide the referee and only one center referee is required.
Player Eligibility:
All U10s that play in a particular club are eligible to play on the U10 travel team as long as they are on the roster. This is a developmental league and not a comp league or all-star team. No tryouts should be held for these teams. The teams should be made up of U10 players and older U9s. This is about development and having fun, so all players who show up to games should play equal minutes.
Standings and Scores:
No standings or scores are kept, however, the commissioner should be contacted if a team defeats another team by 5 or more goals.
Team Contact Information:
In order to make scheduling run extra smooth, we are requesting that all U10 teams submit the attached team contact information sheet to scdboyscommissioners@gmail.com by August 14th, 2009.

Reminder for U10 League Participants
All U10 teams playing within the SCD must have a roster with all players and coaches listed that has been certified by Lou Santo. Players are not required to have passes, but all coaches must be listed on the roster and have a pass. Clubs will also need to supply an updated Alpha list containing all U10 players and coaches listed on the roster. Teams without certified rosters cannot play games!
