2008 Third Annual Commissioner's Cup Tournament was a Good Time for All.
The 2008 Commissioner's Cup Tournament saw 49 Recreational teams compete and eat burgers and hot dogs. This was the largest tournament to date. and On Saturday the U12 Girl's and U12 Boy's teams competed with Orange and Guilford 4 reaching the U12 Girl's Championship game and Orange taking the Championship. In the U12 Boy's Division, East Haven and Guilford 2 reached the Championship game, with Guilford 2 winning the Championship. On Sunday the U14 Girl's and U14 Boy's teams competed. Milford and Shelton reached the U14 Girl's Championship game, with Milford taking away the Championship. In the U14 Boy's Division, Cheshire and Derby reached the Championship game, with Derby winning the Championship.

The South Central District wishes to thank the Cheshire Soccer Club and Cheshire Park and Recreation Department for allowing the use of the fields and facilities, and for the preparation of the fields, for the Tournament. The proceeds from the sale of hot dogs, hamburgers and water to the parents and coaches will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. The Tournament was a huge success and many parents and players commented on the great time they had participating and spectating!!
