CJBL Registration Information
Central Jersey Baseball League Fall 2012 Registration Begins
Fall 2012 - Season Starts Early August 25th 2012
The Central Jersey Baseball League has been providing great baseball for the past 19 years. We will have divisions for teams at 8U,9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U 14U 15U 16U(46/60, 50/70, 60/90). Scheduled games are played mostly on Saturdays in the fall.
Teams are divided based on strength and geographic location.
Some great High School and College players have passed through this league. Best of all, the coaches have a say in how the league, and the divisions are run. We are currently taking advance reservations for the Fall Season. Advance paid reservations guarantee you a spot. We have unfortunately had to turn teams away because we fill up divisions quickly.
Again this fall we are the best value in youth travel baseball.
Registration fee is only $200 per team (plus refundable no play deposit). Why pay $1300-$1400 for Fall ball when you can play the same quality ball with us. Don't be treated like a number... at the CJBL we take pride in our efforts to get scheduled games played. We are fair and balanced and we work hard to try and ensure the players enjoy the game.
When registering for the fall, please remember to register at the age you will be playing next spring. For example...if your were a 10U team this spring, you would register for the fall as an New 11U (46/60 and 50/70) team.
Just download the Code of Ethics, Registration Form and team roster form, and send them in along with a copy of your insurance liability certificate and a check for $400 ($200 if your deposit is on file) payable to:
Central Jersey Baseball League.

Composite Bats
Coaches,
We have been contacted by many of you in reguards to the ruilings on composite bats. the directors have met as a group several times and we have asked for input from many fellow coaches as well as Little League, and Babe Ruth / Cal Ripken Administarators about this issue. There are many opinions floating around about the interprutation of the study done my Umass (Lowell) in reguard to this matter. The study in question is not available to the public as it was commissioned by LL and Babe Ruth and the results are not public( http://m-5.eng.uml.edu/umlbrc/index.htm). There are many types of composite bats on the market and the fully composite barrell bats are the bats in question. We as a league have hesitated in making any decisions or announcements on this subject as we feel there are too many recent developments reguarding the rulings. As a matter of fact .. as of February 4th, Babe Ruth / Cal Ripken baseball have rescended their bat moratoriun for the 12U divisions (http://www.baberuthleague.org/resources/CompositeBatMemo.htm). We feel more information is to be released and we do not want to rush to a decision. As always all decisions made by the CJBL will be for the safety, and enjoyment of our member teams and players. We understand many players recieved or purchased these bats over the last few moths and we intend to do our best to make sure our decision is well vetted.
After a lenghty discussion at the annual meeting last week, here are the league's findings.
1) Many leagues and organizations that have their teams playing in the CJBL are either affiliated with, members of, or are independent of Williamsport Little League, Cal Ripken or The Babe Ruth Leagues. There is a conflict in their official rulings determining what bats are legal and what bats are banned. Testing that was completed by the University of Massachusetts at Lowell was discovered to be inconclusive at this time.
2) The CJBL continues to be a league run by the participating coaches. Opinions for and against a "Bat Ban" were listened to and discussed by over 100 coaches present at the meeting. Many very good points surfaced and it was an excellent exchange of ideas. The players safety was the overriding theme.
3) The issue was put to a vote after approximately 60 minutes of debate. The coaches overwhelmingly voted against banning any bats that have been banned by the current governing bodies of the leagues mentioned earlier.
4)All Home coaches must disclose if a compex bans any bats to the visiting team during game schedule time. If the visiting team Objects. The game should be switched to the home field of the visitors, however the Original Home team will still be considered "Home" and bat at the bottom of the inning.
Thank you and enjoy the game.
