The City of Salinas Youth Basketball program for 5th and 6th grade boys and girls will begin Tuesday, January 11, 2011 and will conclude on March 5. Games will be played Monday through Saturday. Game times during the week will be between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. We will also play on all day on the three Monday school holidays (King- Jan. 17, Lincoln- Feb. 7, and Presidents Day- Feb. 14) starting at 9:00 in the morning.

LEAGUE FORMAT consist of (4) separate grade and gender divisions:

5th grade boys; 6th grade boys; 5th grade girls; and 6th grade girls. If you have to mix a team because you do not have enough of players you may enter a team with both grades together. The team will be placed in a 6th grade league. All teams will play 7 league games. It is advisable that your team does not have more than 10 players per each roster because of playing time requirements.
