Youth Volleyball 5th/6th Grade Girls: Welcome

The Salinas Recreation-Park Department conducts a Youth Volleyball League for girls in the fifth and sixth grade.

The purpose of the league is threefold:

1.  To give children in these grade levels the opportunity to participate in a low-key organized recreational league.

2.  To offer every child, regardless of their skill level or experience the opportunity to participate in healthful, wholesome activity.

3.  To instruct children in the proper fundamentals of volleyball.

It should be stressed that Youth Volleyball has some basics differences from other privately administered youth sports programs. Everyone will have the opportunity to participate equally.  Team standings will not be kept nor will a champion be decided. Everyone will receive an award for participation and sportsmanship.  We are concerned that each child who enters the volleyball program has an enjoyable experience.

League will be formed by schools for 5^th and 6^th grade girls.  As many teams as possible will be formed at schools interested in participating in the program.

2012 Registration Dates: August 20-September 13, 2012. 

2012 Registration Fee:$90.00/Resident City Schoo Team; $110.00/Non-Resident School Team. 

You may register at the Recreation Center 320 Lincoln Ave, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday.

Entry Forms, Player Registration Forms and League Rules will be available online at a date to be deteremined.
