Go Citrus!   Baseball has such great memories. One of my best players was a 12 year old pitcher I had back in the 1980's who would take a miniature 'GI Joe' action figure to the mound and place it next to his feet when he pitched (for good luck I suppose--we did win a title that year). But the weird part is that the other teams just laughed. Nobody ever complained about the toy.

Have a terrific season!
Best regards from Rick Fishman, author of Sandlot Summit, the funniest youth baseball story ever.

Great Site - and congratulations on being honored! I enjoyed reading through your Guestbook and seeing the wonderful smile-creating memories shared by Little Leaguers who are now giving back to the program because an adult was so positive for them.

Hoping you have had a great season!

Hampshire Little League

I want to wish everyone in Citrus Little League the best for the 2008 season. Some of my fondest memories are from when I played for the league. From Minor B up to Big Leagues (1986 - 1996), my first job was even at Citrus (Snack Bar By-Out), and I have kept in touch with many of my great friends. I remember playing the Merchants and Sparks, and have had some wonderful coaches along the way.

I am still involved in Little League Baseball, and will be for the rest of my life thanks to the dedication that all of the Citrus Volunteers showed. I hope to be able to come back out one day and spend a day at Red Hill having fresh grilled burgers, mot sticks, and a fountain Coke.

Sincerely,

Aaron L. Kelly

West Fullerton Little League (Koerth)

I'm a former Citrus Little Leager (23 years ago) and I am pleasantly surprised to see that my former Manager, John Rose is still coaching. I loved him as a coach and find myself emulating some of his style as I know manage my son's 7-8 year old team. I would love to hear from John. Perhaps someone can give him my email or send me his team's schedule so I can come and see him. Thanks, and may Jesus bless your season!!
