2009 Ohio Wave 15U Season Summary (Now CINCY DOOM NORTH)
The Ohio Wave 15U team finished the 2009 season with a 40-6-2 record playing all ASA qualifiers with the exception of the Toledo Tune Up. Their record included a 7th place finish (64 teams) at the 16u ASA "A" Eastern Nationals in Salisbury,MD, three tournament championships (Mad River Classic, Rip It Challenge, Toledo Fastpitch Classic), two third place finishes (Toledo Tune Up, Buckeye Showdown) and 9th/31 place finish at GAPSS.
The Cincy Doom graciously accepted the team into their organization, referring to them as the Cincy Doom North 16U. The girls are thrilled with the move and look forward to representing the Doom organization with pride.
The intention the 2009/2010 season is to focus on college exposure for each of the players by qualifying for and attending the following:1-2 Fall/Winter Exposure Experiences (i.e. Midwest College Showcase, Indiana Un.,Akron Un, Ball State Team Exposure Camp/Tournament) Fall ASA Qualifier , Stingrays, GAPSS, SluggerFest, Compuware or Music City Hits, ASA 16U State, Ohio Wave ASA Qualifier, 18U showcase (Tennessee Summer Exposure or Orlando Park Sparks), ASA 16U Nationals
