1) Question: What kind of experience do I need to play in the fall league? Answer: No experience is necessary. Each week there is a 30 minute clinic on various parts of the game followed by a 60 minute game where you can practice and build on the skills you learned from week to week. 2) Question: What kind of equipment do I need to play in the fall league? Answer: The necessary equipment you will need in order to play in the fall league are: lacrosse stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, and mouthpiece. An athletic supporter and cup is highly recommended but not mandatory. 3) Question: Where can I purchase lacrosse equipment? Answer: There are many choices when it comes to purchasing lacrosse equipment. South Swell Sports (619-224-5774 or www.southswellsports.com) in Pt. Loma is the best place to purchase lacrosse equipment. They have a variety of equipment and their staff is very helpful and courteous. Also, our league sponsor Harrow Sports (www.harrowsports.com) is offering 20% off on all their products. Other places you can purchase lacrosse equipment are: Sports Authority and Play It Again Sports as well as online vendors such as www.lacrossemonkey.com, and www.laxworld.com. 4) Question: How much does lacrosse equipment cost? Answer: A "starter" package retails for $199 which includes a: lacrosse stick, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, and gloves. South Swell Sports offers this package and they will size you so that your gear fits perfectly. If you would like to upgrade from the starter package, they can accomodate you as well. 5) Question: Can you rent lacrosse equipment? Answer: Yes. Lacrosse equipment can be rented from the Chula Vista Youth Lacrosse Association, South Swell Sports, and the Outlaws Lacrosse Club which serves the greater Chula Vista area. Rental equipment is on a first come, first serve basis. Hurry, supplies are limited.
