Brief Description:

The 2009 Boys and Girls Summer Lacrosse Clinics are designed for beginners and first and second year clinics. Players will learn the FUNdamental skills of lacrosse as well as basic offensive and defensive concepts. This is a non contact clinic.

Fees:

$25

Due to the early start time, the clinic is only open to Rancho Del Rey students. However, the Fall League and Clinic is open to everyone and starts on Sunday, September 13th.

Brief Description:

The Fall League/Clinic are for players from grades 1-8 for boys and grades 5-8 for girls. The league will consist of 45 minutes of clinic instruction on basic skills and concepts of the game of lacrosse. A 45 minute scrimmage/game will immediately follow each clinic session.

*Full equipment is required. **Rental equipment is available.

Boys will be required to have a lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, and gloves.

Girls will be required to have a lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouthpiece.

Age Group: 7th & 8th grade Rancho Del Rey Boys and Girls
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays in August
Dates: August 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, 25th, 27th
Where: Rancho Del Rey Middle School PE Fields
Time: 3:00pm-4:30pm
Equipment: Lacrosse Stick (don't have one? We can loan you one.)
Cost: $25

**Fall League is open to everyone!**

Fall League/Clinics start Sunday, September 13th

Age Group: Boys: Grades 1-8, Girls: Grades 5-8
When: Sundays from September 13th to October 1st
Where: Otay Ranch High School
Dates: (7 sessions)
September: 13th, 20th, 27th
October: 4th, 10th, 18th, 25th
Time: 1pm-4pm. Exact time for each age group will be determined by September 1st.
Equipment:
Boys: Lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves.
Girls: Lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, goggles
Cost: $125 with US Lacrosse membership, $150 without US Lacrosse membership

The Chula Vista Youth Lacrosse Association is dedicated to coaching boys and girls in lacrosse FUNdamentals in the South Bay area and providing them with the knowledge and skills to be successful in the sport of lacrosse.

About The Director
As director of the program, Leo Hsu has an extensive background in lacrosse that began in his hometown on Long Island, NY. With more than 20 years of coaching and playing experience, his resume includes the following:

Two time (2000 & 2001) U.S. Lacrosse "Man of the Year"
NCAA Division 3 Coach (Whittier College)
San Diego State University Defensive Coordinator
University of San Diego Defensive Coordinator
League Director of Advantage Lacrosse (MD) and South Swell Lacrosse (CA)

In addition to the director, our experienced instructors include former and present college
coaches, college players, and other experts with a strong background in the sport of lacrosse.
