We are proud to announce the new scoreboard at Hawk's Field - Lake Winola is installed and operational. This field addition was made possible by People's National Bank and the many Lake Winola coaches and player parents who donated countless hours of their time and effort.

LW Managers and Coaches should refer to the instruction sheets posted on both levels of the new concessions stand and the old concessions stand.  Please address your questions and concerns to Gary Muckin.

The Factoryville Little League will be hosting its first annual HOME RUN DERBY at the Factoryville Little League Field on June 7^th, 2009.  Rain Date scheduled for June 14^th, 2009. 

The event will be open to boys and girls, ages 9-12.  There will be four age groups - 2 for boys, and 2 for girls - 9&10, and 11&12.  Participants will be split into their age groups, according to their official playing age for the 2009 season.  Prizes will be awarded for individual and team competition.  Each child will receive a T-Shirt and a coupon for a hot dog, and a fountain drink with their entry fee.  Picnic area, restrooms, and concessions are available. 

All pitches will be made from a pitching machine.  Intermediate boundaries will be set within the field as “Home Run” distance for all participants and graduated by age group.  Rules for the competition will be posted at the field. Coaches will be notified in advance of approximate starting times for their team. 

Check-in will begin at 11:30 am – the contest will begin at noon with the girls 9-10 age group, followed by the girls 11-12, boys 9-10, and boys 11-12. 

Prizes awarded at the completion of the boy’s 11-12 age group. Cost:Price per individual participant: $15.00 – OR – Price per team participation: $135.00/team (max of 12)  (Add $10/each child over the maximum of 12)

The Boys and Girls Little League Tournament schedules were modified for aesthetics reasons.  The "bracket" teams are listed as TBA in the Christy Tournament schedules and no longer appear in the 2009 Season standings.

The Lackawanna Trail Lion Cub Wrestling Club and the Friends of Denise Rosiak would like to thank all of the Christy Mathewson Little League Teams for the generous donations to the Benefit Dinner that was held on April 18th, 2009.  The dinner would not have been such a huge success without your support!!!

All schedules and calendars are ready to be printed.  Those Teams, Sponsors, Schedules, and Calendar entries will be uploaded as soon as they are available. 

Managers and Coaches:

(1)Click your team on the Teams tab to verify your contact information.  Email corrections to cm_web@epix.net . 

(2) Print the Christy Mathewson website 2009 pdf file from the Handouts Tab.   Please refer to it to report rescheduled games and final scores during this season.

The Christy Mathewson website [ WWW.ETEAMZ.COM/CHRISTYMATHEWSONLL ] enters a pilot program for the 2009 season.  It will be used more extensively than in recent years.  We hope to learn from it and build upon it for 2010!  It will require close communication between the Managers/Coaches and the Webmasters in order for it to succeed.  Below, you will see how the Executive Board has envisioned this pilot program.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Summary:

• The SPONSORS, TEAMS, CALENDAR and SCHEDULES tabs will be current before Opening Day.
• Manager and Coach information is available on the TEAMS tab. 
  
• Parent, players, and coaches are asked to reference the CALENDAR and SCHEDULES tabs for game dates, times, and fields throughout the 2009 season.
• Practice dates will not be posted on the calendar.
• Select individual divisions along the bottom of the calendar to facilitate printing.
• Mistakes can be made.  Please email or call website errors to the addresses or phone numbers listed below.
  

Games:

• The HOME FIELD Manager or Coach is responsible to email or call cancelled/rescheduled games for website updates.
• Display all divisions on the CALENDAR to determine when fields may be available.
• Email ALL cancelled/rescheduled games to cm_web@epix.net or call 233-2709.

Scores and Standings:

• Final scores are needed for the Girls (Minor - LL - Junior) and Boys (Minor - LL - Junior) divisions.
• This information will update the STANDINGS tab on the website.
• The WINNING Manager or Coach is responsible for letting us know; "Who beat whom and the final score".
• Please identify the teams by the sponsor's names.

• NO FINAL SCORES or STANDINGS for (T-Ball - Girls Pony - Boys Pony) divisions... They are the future of Christy Mathewson Little League and they are ALL winners!

• Individual player statistics WILL NOT be maintained on the website for the 2009 season.  The use of player stats will be evaluated for All-Stars season.
