Little League Pledge
I trust in God.
I love my country
and will respect its laws.
I will play fair and strive to win.
But win or lose
I will always do my best.
Parent/Volunteer Little League Pledge
I will teach all children to play fair and do their best.
I will positively support all managers, coaches and players.
I will respect the decisions of the umpires.
I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game.
Little League Parents
Little League baseball is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Local leagues could not survive without effective leadership and parent support. CHLL is run by a Board of Directors but the bottom line is the input, work, and ideas from all parents will allow the league to improve, develop and evolve. Thanks so much to those who give their time so freely and for their dedication to CHLL.
Little League Baseball provides an opportunity for children to learn the lifetime skills of leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork. As a parent you play a vital role in your child's experience.
Little League, Inc
Little League Baseball, Inc. is federally charted by the U.S. Congress, and is the only youth sports program to enjoy such a distinction. There are currently more than 19,000 leagues charted worldwide, serving more than 2.5 million youngsters.
Little League Child Protection Program
All local Little Leagues are now required to conduct background checks on Managers, Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams. Individuals are also required to complete and submit a Little League Volunteer Application to their local league.
