The Chicago Wolverines, Inc. is a pending non-profit organization with the State of Illinois.
The Chicago Wolverines was founded on the Southeast side of Chicago, IL. Our team consists of young adults ages 18 and older from various backgrounds. We encourage local adult athletes to continue to play organized football at a competitive level after high school and/or college. They take the positive structure of teamwork and discipline that playing football inspires and apply it to their everyday lives. Our players and staff provide great mentorship to the underprivileged young adults to better their lives.
Minor League Football has long provided an opportunity for athletes to continue their passion for playing this sport. In some cases, players have used this level as a stepping stone for other professional levels. Most often it is a second chance for athletes to continue playing after their college eligibility has been exhausted. Our players do not receive monetary compensation for their efforts on the field. A player's only reward is fullfilling the desire to play a game that has meant a great deal to him. Our staff and coaches share that same passion and have combined their knowledge of over 50 years of football to build a fundamentally sound team with a winning tradition.
