Thank you Parents & Players
As our season begins to wind down its time for a big thank you to our parents and players. We had a great year with the kids that played in our club. Overall there were very few problems that occurred and when something minor did arise all involved handled it with compassion and kindness.
It’s also a very sad time for the staff as we bid farewell to our seniors. They wanted to travel so their last two tournaments are on the road. First up they travel to the Wisconsin Dells this coming weekend, then off to Battle Creek, MI to end their season.
When people complain about our kids of today all we as a staff have to do is look at our 18's team and know they are totally wrong. We had again this year great kids playing their last year of high school sports with us. We will miss them all and wish them well in collage next year. They also know we the staff are a phone call away if needed.
Our 17 Black team sub stained several key injuries during the season and with the accident that almost took Marcia Foss from us had at best a very frustrating season. They played hard each and every time they took to the court. The line-ups never stayed the same account of the injuries and freak accidents that occurred during our season. But yet many of our kids grew from the experience and handled it so very well. The wins & loses did not matter. Its how they played the game.... They played it well
15 Black and 14 Black really had great seasons and both teams improved at every stage of the season. We look forward to seeing these two teams take over the leadership roles in the club in future years.
Our 15's seem to blend the new players and old players well. They showed how a team could come together and have fun at the same time. From start to finish 15 Black surprised no one because the talent is there. We know with the personalities on 15 Black its going to be fun watching them in the future years.
As for 14 Black "wow" could be an understatement. We made several additions to this team this season, they were always in the top end of the many pools at power league. They seem to hit the floor running and have not looked back. Many of the staff will be really looking forward to seeing these players grow as athletes and persons.
Finally to our parents. We know we have had some of the best support any club could ask for. We enjoyed your comments and support when we had the gym go down for over a month and practices had to be moved. We had great help in relocating to our new homes at Southwest and Hazelgreen. Both gyms are super places and a very good upgrade for the club. I have seen many clubs close up shop in the last eight or nine years. When you ask the staff why... many times you hear.... " We can't deal with today’s parents".... I do not know if its luck or word of mouth that helped us get a great group of parents but there is something, because we do not feel that way at all, if anything our Staff felt this was the BEST group of parents we've ever had.
We look forward to next year and need help with getting new kids in the club. We have let Southwest and Hazelgreen know we will be back at both gyms for next year. Again Thanks to all for a SUPER Season!!

Good Weekend
Both 18 Black and 14 Black had a very good weekend. Both teams finished their tournaments with winning records. 18 Black will hit the road to the "Digging in the Dells" In Wisconsin. They will then move around the big lake to Michigan and see action in the "Best of America" Tournament at the end of April.14 Black have Power league in May.
Meanwhile 15 Black is getting ready for their next power league in early May. 17 Black after getting a few players back from the injury list are really looking forward to the Central Zone in Mid April. They took a little time off to heal up and get ready to end their season strong.
Speaking of healing up it was great to see Marcia Foss. Jill, her mom got her to a practice so she could say hi to her teammates. She has started her long road to recovery and knowing Marcia she will do what she needs to do.
Any and all fees for travel or club need to be in by 5/1/09.
