Chico Softball Little League "CSLL" 2010
Tuesday, February 9 
Tryouts - For All Minor, Major and Junior Softball Players
Tryouts for January 30th have been cancelled due to weather. Tryouts for February 6th have been cancelled due to weather Tryouts for February 9th and 10th have been cancelled due to weather. Eastside is a mud pit with huge infield lakes.
Tryouts for Minors, Majors and Juniors will be held Saturday, February 13th at Westside and Saturday, February 20th at Eastside. Think no rain!!!!!! Saturday, February 13th @ Westside Majors and Minors - Registration will be at 12:00 and evaluations from 1:00-3:00 Minors - Registration will be at 2:00 and evaluations will be from 3:00-5:00
Saturday, February 20th @ Eastside Minors - Registration will be at 8:30 and evaluations from 9:00-11:00 Majors and Juniors - Registration will be at 10:00 and evaluations will be from 11:00-1:00

Manager Meeting and Coaches Clinic - Saturday, February 20th, 1:00-4:00
There will be a mandatory Manager and Coaches meeting on Saturday, February 20th from 1:00-4:00 at Eastside. Saturday, January 23
Player Clinics
The season does approach. Tryouts/ Previews are just a couple of weeks away and time is racing by again. CSLL is putting on several player clinics for Minor, Major, Junior and Senior players. Sunday 1/24 @ HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER Friday 1/29 @ Jon Mac's 5:30 to 7:30 $5 Will have cages working, and cage for swing work etc. Pitching Clinics are coming.

2010 CSLL Fundraiser
IMPORTANT: 2010 Chico Little League Fundraiser Information:This year Central, Eastside, Westside, El Rancho and Chico Softball Little Leagues have joined forces to put together a fundraiser with great raffle prizes. In the past, registration, sponsorships and our smaller fund raisers such as the Good Guys Golf Tournament, opening day BBQ’s, raffles, etc. helped to cover the operating costs of our league and allowed us to save just a little. During these hard economic times it is becoming increasingly harder to raise sponsorship money from local businesses. In order for all the leagues to keep registration fees down and continue improving the quality of our equipment, uniforms and league fields, we must be more driven and creative in our fundraising endeavors.
Our Grand Prize winner will win a “Complete Home Theater System (63” Plasma Tv) from Sounds by Dave ($9,000 value). 2nd place winner will receive ($4,000 cash). 3rd place winner will receive a Travel gift certificate from AAA Travel ($2,500 value). 4th place winner will receive a Home Computer System (Home Computer, Printer, Wireless Router, & Laptop) from Computers Plus. 5thplace winner will receive a gift certificate from 5th Street Steakhouse ($250 value). Although parents may purchase raffle tickets we do not expect them to be the sole supporters of this fundraiser. In order for this to be successful it needs to be more of a community wide raffle. Incorporate friends, co-workers, neighbors and extended family. Winners do not need to be present to win. Drawing will be held May 21st *Players will need to complete their fundraising commitment of 10-tickets by March 22nd in order to receive a uniform.*Thursday, January 7
Clean-Up Day and Safety Meeting - Saturday, March 6th
Chico Softball will be having a Clean-Up Day Saturday, March 6th at 8AM - 12PM at the Eastside Little League Fields. Bring rakes, shovels, weed eaters, gloves, ect. Families and teams are encouraged to come and participate. There will be a MANDATORY Manager Safety Meeting at 10AM sharp (rain or shine). All Managers please meet in the Junior field bleachers. Opening Day - Saturday, March 27th
Please join all the excitement at our Opening Day set for Saturday March 27th! We will be kicking our season off at the Chico Eastside Little League Field complex. All players and teams will pose for pictures in uniform and then take off to the fields for a mini-round of softball at the Opening Day Jamboree! Thursday, January 7
Al and Al Coaching Clinic - Sunday, March 28th
Al and Al will be holding a coaching clinic this year in Chico on Sunday, March 28th at Chico High School.
The morning session from 8:00-12:30 will be for coaches and managers of players ages 9-13. The afternoon session from 12:30 to 4:30 will be for the coaches and parents of players ages 5-8.
Al and Al have provided training to over 100,000 coaches and managers worlwide. The clinics are fun, entertaining and cover all aspects of the game with a focus on developing every player on your team.
Coaches, managers and parents please come prepared to participate - wear comfortable clothing and shoes and be sure to bring a glove. Wednesday, January 27
Chico Softball Little League/CSU Chico Softball Days
CSLL is pleased to announce that Angel Shamblin, CSU Chico Head Softball Coach, and our Little League District 47 Administrator, Bruce Barnett have coordinated to schedule Little League Softball Days April 24 at the CSU Chico game vs. CSU Stanislaus at 12:00 PM on the CSU Chico Softball Field. This will be the second year District 47 Softball Leagues will attend Softball Days with CSU Chico. Last year the event was attended by several Little League Softball players from leagues throughout District 47. Angel has been very kind to accommodate Little League and we have assured her and Bruce that the CSLL board will make every effort to boost attendance at Softball Days as well as their other games. We encourage all CSLL players to attend Softball Days . CSUC has agreed to make souvenir (foam) softballs available for the CSU Chico athletes to sign for Little League players in an environment where they can have fun and get to know each other. This is a great opportunity for our players to see the game played by the outstanding athletes of Chico State. It would benefit us as a league and our girls immeasurably, to take advantage of the day!
