Monday, July 20CWS End of the Year Party, Friday, August 14rth, at "On the Rocks"!!!!!
Please invite everyone, come one, come all as we will award the first place playoff team again, and celebrate with all at "On the Rocks". 8:00pm till whenever. On the Rocks, or OTR, is located on John R road, just south of 12 mile road, on the west side of the road across from the McDonalds. They will have drink specials in place for all participating CWS members!!!! They will also have Karaoke for CWS to participate, or just watch. Also dancing will be available. Free pool is at OTR, They also have Golden Tee along with a dart board, and ton's of big screen TV's.
Please stop up and celebrate a great 2009 season with all the teams, coaches and the board!! Please fill out the on line survey on our CWS web site (www.eteamz.com/chickswithsticks) for a head count to submit to OTR.

Volunteers Needed for the Time Clock, the Score Sheet and the Music for our games!!!!!
We need volunteers to assist by helping with the Time Clock, the Score Sheet and the Music for our games. Without these valuable positions filled… we will not be able to play. Fall Hockey Opportunity
Attention Ladies:
Looking for a 2009/ 2010 fall Hockey team?
The Metro Blades will be holding a tryout night for their fall team on Wednesday, July 29th at 9:30pm at the Detroit Skate Club rink "B". DSC is the Metro Blades home ice. http://www.arenamaps.com/arenas/96.htm
The cost to help cover the ice fee is $5.00 per Forward, and Goalies skate for free. If you play goal, please contact Jim Isaacson first as the tryout will only require a couple goalies.
The Metro Blades may have a few spots available for this upcoming 2009/ 2010 season. So if you are looking for a home team for the fall, come on out and skate, meet the girls and have fun!
The Metro Blades play in the Intermediate 2 Division of the MSWHL Women's League. http://www.mswhl.com/.Please note that this is not like Chicks with Sticks color line buzzer hockey, it is normal on the fly hockey. Also the Intermediate 2 division talent level is roughly equal to that of the Red liners like you know in our own CWS league.

League Sponser - On The Rocks
Attention all CWS participants,
David at "On The Rocks" has once again offered to sponser our league by offering discounts to all CWS participants. As we are all aware, most of our participants prefer the usual tailgate in the grassy area on the north side of the rink. But now for rainy days, or for whenever we like, we can simply go to "On the Rocks" and let them know you are a member of the Chicks with Sticks league to obtain the specials and discounts he has for us. Thursday nights at "On the Rocks", or OTR, they have Karaoke with Cora and Larry. They have a great Mic system that can make the worst singer sound wonderful... Stop up!!
On The Rocks is located on John R. Road, Just south of 12 Mile on the west side of the road in Madison Heights.

CWS Picture Day!!!

A quick note to let you all know so you can prepare.
Thursday, July 23rd will be Picture Day. Kelly Gee (our league Photographer) will be at the rink to take pictures of each team and the entire league. As you all know, this is CWS's 10th year, so we are really counting on a large turn out for this photo. Thursday the 23rd will mark the last night for regular season games with playoff's starting the following Monday.
We ask that Team's 4 & 5 (8:30pm ice) be dressed and ready for the ice by 8:15pm. We will attempt to speed up the 7:30pm game on the NHL rink just a touch. We will have all teams be ready, in gear, in the NHL rink by 8:20/25pm to assemble for team photo's, then one entire league photo.
If you are interested in individual shots, or buddy shots, Kelly may be available before 8:15pm, or 8:45pm at the rink. Please do not attempt to line any individual shots or buddy shots up between 8:15pm to 8:45 as she will be shooting the teams and league.
Finally, If you have not already viewed Kelly's great photo's through the entire 2009 season so far, please visit her web site at http://missinpieces.ifp3.com/. Kelly has been out to most of our games and has virtually thousands of shots posted there… just may be a few of you in action!!!If you need any further information from Kelly Gee, like individual photo's, buddy photo's, or how to obtain some that are up on line…. CWS ALL LEAGUE POT LUCK, Thursday July 23rd
CWS Ladies,
Kathy O will be semi hosting a POT LUCK Event on Thursday, July 23rd. She will assist in some of the organization, but needs all CWS players to bring a little something something.
This will be picture day as well... Bring your favorite dish, drink, BBQ... Whatever.
