This past winter Faatimah Dreher made her
presence known in rebuilding the Indians squad. “The girls always looked up to her as a
leader,” said head basketball coach Jen Fleming who also mentioned that previously
Dreher had some health problems that cut short previous seasons, “She never
talked about ‘oh why me, or poor me.’ She
always just got right back out there and did what she needed to.”
Dreher had several colleges to choose from
including the University of Nebraska - Omaha and Concordia University, but
chose to attend Omaha cross town school Grace University. “It is right in the middle of Omaha, and I
loved the culture there because it is calm and not too big,” said Dreher about her
decision to become a Royal. “They
offered me a full scholarship so that really helped me with my decision.”
