4A vs 5A All Star Game and Lady Indian Team Honors
With the end of the basketball season - I wanted to let everyone know of a few honors that members of our basketball program earned:

BTW, Tracie will be shooting this Thursday (March 21st) at Doherty High School. The 3 point contest starts at 4pm and the All-Star game starts at 6pm. It would be great to see as many as possible at Doherty HS this Thursday to support Tracie!!!

NCAA Women’s 1st Round Playoffs Game
I just wanted to check and see if anyone was interested in attending the 1st round NCAA games this Saturday in Boulder. I know Spring Break is starting and a number of you may be gone and have other plans. The tickets are somewhere between $25-$35. Based on the number of people interested we would need to figure out transportation (and get tickets ordered). The games start around 2:15 or 2:30 MDT.

Lady Indians End-of-Season Banquet

OFF-SEASON
We will also be starting our off season soon. This spring, in addition to having open gym (Tuesday & Thursday nights once we start) we plan to have a team compete in leagues & tourneys. If you are interested in being on a team this spring please let me know. We will also have a number of activities this summer (leagues, tourneys, open gym, individual camp, team camp, lock-in).
Coach Vaz's Announcements
For the swingers and JV parents, we are now down to 5 players on the JV team because of concussions (Greer, Gina, Teresa and Sarah - please think or pray for these players, the road to recovery is not easy). The varsity has also been hit by concussions and injuries as well so there is no help coming from the varsity calvary to help our numbers situation.
What does this mean for the JV? Well we still have help from 2 swingers (Alisa and Kate) but they are quarter limited because of CHSAA rules (can only play 2 quarters with us) but when they can't play we are down to 5 which means for the 4th quarter, we have no one on the bench. I talked to our players about this last night - and they want to press on with 5. I'm supporting them, we'll compete, these guys have worked too hard this season to give up on our last two games. There are things I can do to lessen the numbers situation - strategic timeouts, play with 4 or get agreement with the other coach that will give our guys one more foul before fouling out. I will do everything I can to make this a positive experience for our players. If we go down to 3, we'll have to stop the game at that point.
What I want from you guys is just to be aware of the situation and understand why we have to go to 4 players or why your girls may be extra tired. Please reinforce to them as I will, if they get hurt, there is no playing through it, they come out of the game. Parents you have been great this season, I've really enjoyed meeting you; and I can't say enough about our players, they are a gritty, determined bunch that has been my pleasure to coach this season. Thanks for your understanding.
