I was the starting point guard on the first Chester Clippers basketball team. I have never experience anything like that, besides the birth of my last daughter. It is a great honor to know there is a website to show our kids how special Chester Clippers basketball was and still is.

Thank You

This is a great site. I grew up consumed by Clipper B'Ball. It was inspiring to see the pictures of the reigning teams at Mike's Hoagie SHop, the team holding a six footer.

Remember the Norristown folk filing a complaint when we beat their Henry WIlliams led team. They said the team was distracted by the Psychedelic clothing worn by the fans. The heartbreak of the 73 one point loss to Farrell and Ali losing to Frazier on the same night. Look forward to talking ith you guys.

Basketball is all we have left (for now!)!!! Parents, do homework with your kids. You can have a good time after they go to bed. We need our priorities straight, right?!?!? Brothers and sisters, remember, you cannot play in college unless you make it to college.

Great site. Just sitting here remembering the state championship game '63 against Steelton Highspire. We were tied or down by one and our center Ken Schamberger had the ball all by himself heading down court to win the game. Up he went like a bird...flying all the way from the free throw stripe...everyone standing and cheering but silece came and it seemed like an eterninty for him to fly to the basked and slam dunk our championship.....The slam hit off the back of the rim and the ball must have went 20 feet in the air and we lost. I always felt sorry for Ken. It was a great team though. I remember Ken Schamberger and our point guard Mike Marshall(boy could he dribble). Just a memory.
