Welcome to the home site of Chesapeake Little League (CLL) located in the beautiful city of Chesapeake, Virginia!
CLL was founded in 1994 and is entering its "20th" Anniversary Season in 2013. Chesapeake Little League is charted under the Little League International Organization located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. We are a part of Virginia Little League District 6 which includes the areas of Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Western Branch area of Chesapeake.
Our Annual elections are held at our ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING in May. Terms will be for 1 year starting August 1 of the current year. Board Meetings are held the first Sunday of the month at Civitan Acres, 2210 Cedar Rd., at 5:00 PM. SPECIAL NOTE: Baseball Majors and up Divisions and Girls Fast Pitch Softball Farm/Minors and up Divisions will Interleague with other Little Leagues in the area. This means they will travel for some games to possibly Portsmouth, Churchland, Western Branch, and Suffolk.

Chesapeake Little League 20th Year All Stars Tryouts
When: Sunday June 9th, 2013
Where: BASEBALL: Crestwood 1 Baseball Field SOFTBALL: Hugo Owens Middle School Softball field
What: Chesapeake Little League will hold tryouts to select the CLL All Stars Tournament Teams for the Little League Post Season Tournaments.
Little League Allstar Tournaments are not Division Specific
but LEAGUE Age Specific. It does not matter if you played in Minors or
Majors, you are only eligible
for the age division group based on your LEAGUE
AGE.
(For Baseball- Age you are on April 30,
2013, For Softball- Age you are on December 31, 2012.)
Tournament Team Divisions are broken down as follows:
9 & 10 Baseball and Softball
11 & 12 Baseball and Softball
Junior Baseball (ages 13 and 14) – NO TRYOUT- Talk to your Current Coach about
playing!
Senior Baseball & Softball (ages 13-16)- NO TRYOUT- Talk to
your Current Coach about playing!
All teams
participate at the District Level Tournament. They will play at minimum 2
games!
District Champions advance to State, State 11/12, Junior, and Senior Champions
advance to the Region,
Regional Champions advance to the World Series.
TRYOUT:
Players for our 9
& 10 and 11 & 12 Teams will be evaluated on the following 6 categories:
Fielding (Infield and
Outfield), Throwing, Running, Batting and Pitching.
Any Player who participated in Minors or Majors during the season is eligible for the 9/10 or 11/12 Tournament Team. All players that are interested in being part of the All Stars teams MUST participate in the tryouts, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Junior and Senior Baseball and Senior Softball: All Players on the current teams are eligible to play provided they meet Tournament Team Eligibility Requirements (#of games played, residency and birth requirements) and Your Coach feels you are ready! Please discuss with your Current Regular Season Coach!
Tryout times are as follows:

Field 1: SOFTBALL at Hugo Owens MS Field 1:
11& 12 baseball: 2:00-3:30 pm 11
& 12: 3:00pm
9 & 10 baseball: 4:00-5:30 pm 9

Need
to determine if we have enough girls!
Time and dates of the District 6 Tournament will be ANNOUNCED
as soon as they are available!
NORMALLY, the tournaments run from the last week of June through the second
week of July (including the 4th of July Holiday!). ALL Players
that are selected are expected to attend ALL PRACTICES (from the
middle of June until the end of the tournament) and ALL GAMES. This
a great honor and opportunity but is a huge commitment for the coaches,
players, parents and League! Please make
sure you are willing to make this commitment before trying out! A Parent Signed AVAILABILITY FORM stating the Player
is available must turned in before any Player may tryout! Forms are available on our website, on our
Facebook Group, and also at the Tryout!
In general: practices are six days a week and all players MUST be at every practice unless excused by the CLL Board of Directors. Unexcused absences are grounds for removal from the team! Remember this is a TEAM EFFORT!

Handout: Allstar Tournament Teams Availability Form
Chesapeake Little League understands that circumstances change and on occasion a refund is required. The policy established by The Board of Directors is: 1) Refund requests must be made in writing, 2) Requests must be mailed to Chesapeake Little League P.O. Box 15016 Chesapeake, Va. 23328 and post marked prior to March 3rd of the current season (or September 1 for Fall Season), 3) A stamped, self addressed return envelope must be enclosed or a mailing fee will be imposed, 4) ALL REFUNDS (regardless of reason- ie: joined the wrong league, changed mind, etc.) will have a $5.00 Handling Fee deducted unless we were unable to form a team! 5) No refunds will be made after any part of the uniform has been distributed to the player, and 6) The league will not refund convience service charges incurred through registration on-line 7) There will be a $12 charge on all returned checks. 8) In addition, be advised that our League participates in the RESUBMIT IT Program to process all checks.
