Mystics Place 3rd In USSSA State
The Mystics placed 3rd in the 2002 USSSA Georgia State Tournament, 14U-B Dvision. Hats off to the Peachtree City Elite and the Lady Sting who finished 1st and 2nd. Boo and hiss to the umpires who knocked us out of our shot at the championship with a terrible call. Like Tom said, in our minds that game will be forever tied 5 to 5 in the 8th inning!
2nd place for NASF state
The girls played hard this weekend. We had some new players help us out and hope to keep them around.
Here's dirt in your eye V.L.B.
We'll see you at the world series!
Mystics Win NGFA Division

Mystics Win Roswell ASA Qualifier
The Mystics showed-off their new Sunday-go-to-meet'n Uniforms by winning the Roswell Spring Fling. The girls lost 2 pool games and had to play through from the lowest seed. They beat the Forsyth Diamond Dawgs, the Georgia Heat and the Georgia Blast to play the West Cobb Pride for the championship. The Pride had beaten the Mystics twice in previous meetings, but the Mystics used tight defense and clutch hitting to send the Pride home with the little trophies.

SCRA Fall Classic - A Frolick in the Mud!
The Mystics drew two tough teams in their pool play. They split the pair by beating the Roswell Orange Crush (Blue Squad) of Friday night (4 to 2) and loosing to the SCRA Flash on Saturday (6 to 1). Both games were played in a light drizzle.
By Sunday afternoon the field was not much more than a mud puddle. In the single elimination bracket play, the Mystics sent the same Orange Crush team home early by beating them 5 to 3, only to face the Flash again. The game with the Flash was tied 1 to 1 until the 4th, when the Mystics had the bases loaded with only 1 out, but could not get a run across. The Flash came back with 3 runs in the next inning to win.
The SCRA Flash finished in 1st place, followed by the Duluth Lady Cats, and then the SCRA Broncos. The Mystics finished in 4th place.

RUNNERS UP IN AYSA FALL CLASSIC
We rolled through our bracket in the winners half until we meet the Paulding county Xplosion. We had put them in the losers bracket on Saturday night with a shut out. Our next meeting, on Sunday, they returned the shut out which forced the "IF" game.
Despite great pitching we were unable to push enough runners over the plate. Our hats off to the Xplosion.
Mystics remember we were a brand new team just 19 games ago.
The coaching staff and your parents are all very proud of you!
