VENUS HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL CAMP

JUNE 11-14

9:00am - 11:00am - T-Ball/Coach Pitch   $40

11:00am - 12:00pm - COACHES' LUNCH

12:00pm - 3:00pm - Kid Pitch                   $50

If player is in his last year of coach pitch parents should use their judgment on the player's skill level on which session to enroll in. Afternoon will move faster and be more detailed.

All activities will take place at Venus High School Baseball Field

In case of weather camp will be held in High School B-Gym

Water will be provided in the dugout

Campers will need to dress in baseball attire and provide their own bats, gloves, and cleats.

Private Lesson Rates

1/2 Hour - $30

About Mitch Abeita

Mitch Abeita is a professional catcher in the Yankees Organization. He went to Duncanville High School where he earned the MVP award his senior year. He then went to North Central Texas College where he was a TX NJCAA All-star. From there he went to play college ball for Nebraska where he became the First team All-Big12 Catcher. As a Johnny Bench Award semi-finalist, he was ranked one of the top ten collegiate catchers in the nation. He was then drafted in the 19th round by the New York Yankees. He has been playing in the minor leagues for 5 years and was picked for the Florida State League All-star team in 2011.

Understand: We work hard and have fun, that’s our main goal. Everything we do is tailored to make YOU a better baseball player. If your want to do something, why not do it well?

Skills & Drills Competition

 

6:00PM - Opening Day Ceremonies

This will be held at the Valley Ridge Amphitheater

(2850 Park Ridge Drive  Cedar Hill, TX. 75104) and will be Mardi Gras style.

Each team is encouraged to bring beads and candy to throw out to the crowd as they parade across the stage.

Please note that chocolate candy is not recommended as it melts very quickly.

PASSES (WRISTBANDS)

Week Passes (these passes are good for the entire tournament)

Adults- $25.00

Seniors - $17.00

Children - $17.00

Day Passes (these passes are good for only one day)

Adults - $7.00

Seniors - $5.00

Children - $5.00

Note: Adults are ages 16 & up, Seniors are 55+ and Children are 6-15. Children ages 5 and under are free.

All players are exempt from admission.

And up to 3 coaches per team will be issued wristband passes.

WRISTBAND PASSES MUST BE WORN ON THE WRIST AT ALL TIMES! 

If you do not have your wristband pass on, you will not be allowed admission into the tournament.

COOLERS, FOOD & DRINK

The only coolers allowed into the tournament are those holding cold rags for the players.

There will be NO outside food or drink allowed to be brought into the tournament.

There are concession stands at each facility where food and drink can be purchased.

Water will be furnished in the dugouts for the players and coaches.

If you attempt to bring any outside food or drink in you will be asked to take it back to your vehicle.

ALL COOLERS & BAGS ARE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION UPON ENTERING THE PARK!

Below are the results from the Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Skills Competition held at Valley Ridge on 03/25/12.

The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition.
