Indians Blanks Jeff Davis 44-0
Ronald Eldell caught 2 TD passes and returned a fumble for another score to lead the Tribe to a 44-0 shutout win over the Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets. Eldell got the scoring started with 10;05 left in the 1st quarter when he hauled in a 7 yard pass from Chris Milton. Tre Hamilton added the PAT run for an 8-0 lead. The touchdown was set up by a 61 yard return of the opening kickoff by Donovan Bolden. The Indians would then kickoff and the Jackets fumbled. Eldell scooped up the ball and raced 19 yards to the end zone and with just over 2two minutes elapsed Charlton led 14-0. At the 6:31 mark Tre Hamilton sprinted 29 yards for a score and Tim Hamlette added the PAT run to bump the lead to 22-0. As time expired in the opening stanza Eldell scored for the 3rd time on a 16 yard pass from Milton. Hamilton again added the PAT run to make it 30-0 after the 1st quarter. With 7:34 left before the half Al McArthur scored on a 5 yard run to make it 36-0. Chris Milton added the final TD with 27 seconds left in the half on a 5 yard run. Andy Crews caught the 2-point pass to wrap up the scoring. The second half was played with a running clock with reserves seeing most of the action. Defensively the Tribe forced four turnovers with Eldell, Mark Gantt, and Andy Crews each recovering fumbles while Bolden added an interception. Milton finished the night 8-12 for 123 yards and 2 TD's while Hamilton led in rushing with 76 yards on just 8 carries. Bolden led the receivers with 3 catches for 49 yards.
