Indians Knock Off Tattnall 30-14
QB Chris Milton ran for 110 yards and passed for 193 more while tossing 3 TD passes to lead Charlton Co. to a 30-14 win over Tattnall Co. in a key Region 2-AA game. Tre Hamilton(85 yards rushing) got the scoring started at the 5:09 mark of the opening quarter when he scampeered in from 4 yards out. Milton's pass to Kesean Peterson for the conversion made it 8-0 in favor of the Tribe. With 47 seconds left in the quarter Peterson pulled in a 12 yard scoring pass from Milton and Milton ran for the 2-point conversion to push the Indians lead to 16-0. Charlton got on the board once again with 6:44 left in the half when Milton found Ronald Eldell in the end zone for a 33 yard TD. Charlton led 22-0 at the half. Tattnall scored on their first drive of the second half when they threw a 38 yard TD pass and added the 2-point try to cut the lead to 22-8. The Indians would answer back at the 3:57 mark of the qyuarter when Peterson caught his 2nd TD pass of the night and Hamilton added the conversion to bump the lead to 30-8. Tattnall would finish out the scoring with 25 seconds remaining on a 4 yard run to make the final score 30-14. Peterson led the receiving corps with 4 catches for 58 yards followed by Eldell(3-56). Five other Indians caught one pass each.Defensively Wyatt Johnson recorded 2 QB sacks and Mark Gannt added one. Ravi Patel recovered a fumble and Al McArthur picked off a Tattnall Co. pass.
