Indians Improve to 5-0 After 48-16 Win Over Turner
The Charlton Co. Indians jumped out to a 41-6 halftime lead and cruised to a 48-16 win over Turner Co. last Friday night at Indian Field. After Turner jumped out to a 6-0 lead the Indians went on a scoring frenzy. RB Andrew Lee rushed eleven times for 127 yards and four touchdowns while QB Jimmy Nettles was 14-17 for 217 yards and two scores. Nettles touchdown passes went to Curt Nixon and Keyvonte Nash. Freshman RB Eric Daniels scored his first career touchdown in the second half that was played under a running clock. Defensively, the Tribe got interceptions from T.J. Wilson and Daniels while Tevis Dasher recovered a Turner fumble.

Indians Open Region Play With 33-0 Win Over Atco
The Atkinson Co. Rebels entered Indian Field with the top power ranking for Class A but left with a 33-0 shellacking from the hands of the Charlton Co. Indians. RB Andrew Lee rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns while QB Jimmy Nettles ran in another score. Mak Barlow tackled the Rebel quarterback in the end zone for a safety and Thomas Johnson added a field goal and was a perfect 4-4 on PAT attempts.

Indians Get By Bacon 28-12
The Charlton Co. Indians overcame several miscues to beat the Bacon Co. Red Raiders 28-12 Friday night in Alma. QB Jimmy Nettles passed for a career high 255 yards and a touchdown while running for another score. RB Andrew Lee rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown. Keyvonte Nash led the receiving corps with four catches for 106 yards while Curt Nixon caught six passes for 93 yards. Nixon also returned a punt 51 yards for the first Indian score. Tevis Dasher scored the final touchdown on a three yard pass from Nettles. Defensively Nixon and Brandon Dell recorded interceptions while Teon Burroughs and Tevis Dasher recovered Bacon Co. fumbles.

Indians Roll to 41-0 Win Over Hilliard
The Charlton Co. Indians won for the 11th straight time in the series against Hilliard Friday night shutting out the Flashes by a 41-0 score. The Indian defense forced five turnovers for the second straight week limiting Hilliard to nine rushing yards and 84 total yards for the game. Tevis Dasher picked off two passes while Malik Brunson added another. Teon Burroughs and Mak Barlow both recovered a fumble. Offensively, Andrew Lee ran for 181 yards on just ten carries scoring on runs of 12, 93, and 5 yards. Brunson added 37 yard dash to paydirt. QB Jimmy Nettles tossed his first career touchdown hitting Keyvonte Nash from fourteen yards out. Curt Nixon added the other Tribe score when he fielded a punt and dashed 56 yards for the score.

Indians Open Season With 32-13 Win Over Manchester
The Charlton Co. Indians opened their season Saturday at the North-South Kickoff Classic at Mercer University with a 32-13 win over the Manchester Blue Devils. RB Andrew Lee rushed 33 times for 249 yards and three touchdowns while kicker Thomas Johnson kicked field goals of 36 and 40 yards to help lead the Tribe to victory. QB Jimmy Nettles scored the other Indian touchdown on a three yard run. LB T.J. Wilson led the Tribe with six stops while Tevis Dasher, Devin Hannans, and Anthony Jackson each registered five tackles. The Indian defense forced five turnovers.

Indians to Open Season At Mercer University Against Manchester
The Charlton Co. Indians will take their show on the road to Mercer University to open up the 2014 season against Manchester High School on Saturday, August 30th. The Charlton/Mancheester game will be the first game of a doubleheader that day kicking off at 5:00. The nightcap will have Fitzgerald and Heard Co. squaring off against each other. Tickets are $10 each and will cover admission to both games.
