Welcome to The Charleston South Carolina Reviving
Baseball in Inner Cities Baseball Program
Website!
MISSION STATEMENT
With the rising dropout rates and violence in inner city communities, we know that there is a need to present positive and productive activities for our youth. Therefore, in 2008 the Charleston RBI Baseball program was introduced with cooperation from local recreation and business leaders. The program is set up to encourage inner city youth of the trident and surrounding areas to participate in the game of baseball, while promoting mental and physical health. With seed money from Major League Baseball's Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Baseball Program and The local Boys and Girls Clubs of the Trident Area the foundation for a successful program was established.
The Charleston RBI baseball program consist of two teams: (1) 13U-15U junior boys baseball team and (1) 16U-18U senior boys baseball team. Each year a tryout is held in May in the inner City of Charleston,SC to determine who will make that year's team.
