The Chargers are an adult hardball team playing in the Los Angeles area. We are governed by the same rules as Major League Baseball. The fields are located from Pasadena to Downey. The minimum age to participate is 35 years old. There is no upper age limit. The Chargers Baseball Team is always looking for new players. If interested in playing or if you have a team and would like a practice game, contact the Chargers Baseball Team.

Chargers can Run

The Chargers are out stealing their opponents by a 4 to 1 ratio. Good pitching a good catcher and good defense holds the opponents close. Speedy runners for the Chargers and smart base running are the keys to the Chargers success.

With the addition of a few key players the Chargers are stronger than ever. With Phil missing most of the season, Robert has taken over third base and played very well.

Aluminum Bat Care Tips

Aluminum Bat Care Tips
1 Limit the bat to your individual use only. Sharing your bat with other players will shorten its life span.
2 Rotate the bat 1/4 turn each swing. Hitting the ball on the same side of the bat each time can cause denting.
3 Use with leather-covered balls only. Avoid batting cage balls which tend to be more dense than the bat walls were designed to tolerate and can result in denting.
4 Use only with softballs that do not exceed 500 lbs. compression. Please note that high compression softballs are harder and more likely to damage your bat.

5 Do not use in temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius). In cooler temperatures, the ball becomes more dense, which puts more stress on the bat walls and can result in denting.
6 Do not store in extremely hot temperatures, such as the trunk of a car. The plastic end cap contracts and expands at different temperature rates than aluminum, which can result in end cap failure. (With some older bats, end caps are a replaceable item. It is recommended that you replace the end cap each season.)
7 Do not use to clean metal spikes or cleats. Scratches and other surface abuse can diminish the performance and life expectancy of your bat.
8 Do not hit waterlogged balls. Wet balls are heavy and more likely to damage your bat.
