CHAOS 96 Are KSSL Fall 2006 Champions!!!!!
The Chaos went 7-1-0 in league play this fall. After a loss in the first game of the season, the team reeled off 7 straight wins in which they allowed only 4 goals including 3 shut-outs! For the season, the Chaos outscored their opponents 36-9. Very impressive girls. Be proud of yourselves.

Workout Program
I have made available some training exercises for the girls to work on before the season begins. Click on the Handouts link to the left and then on the workout file. I have selected some exercises that will work on conditioning both with and without the ball. Work with the ball is still important, even for conditioning purposes. Some conditioning is aerobic (distance) but most is anaerobic (sprinting and recovery cycles). This is to develop sprinting speed and conditioning, both with and without the ball. Soccer is more sprinting and recovery than just pure distance running. Call me if you have any questions regarding this program or any drills within. Thanks.

Fall Ball Tourney Recap
The Chaos defeated the NK United Blue Mustangs in the first game 3-2. With
Hayley, Felicia and Courtney collecting the goals.
In the Second game The Chaos matched up with the Club X Tornados and walked
away with another 3-2 win. Hayley scored twice while Felicia took advantage of the goalie being out of the box and found the back of the net from about 40 yards out.
On Sunday morning, The Chaos played perhaps their most convincing game of
the tournament by defeating GSE Cardinal Gold 3-0. Once again Hayley
scored twice while Felicia added the third goal. On the defensive end, in one particular sequence, Callie had a brilliant effort to knock a shot down and then Haley S cleared the ball off our goal line to save a goal & to insure the shutout.
In the Championship game against the Piqua Warriors, the Chaos defense hung tough through a very physical soccer match. In a very tight game, Desiree made a fantastic save after a ball almost bounced over her head. She barely got her fingers on the ball to deflect it and then recovered it before it crossed the line. The scored remained tied at 0-0 until Hayley fought her way through 3 defenders in the last couple of minutes to take a shot then followed it up after the keeper deflected it to score the only goal the Chaos would need as they brought home the championship.
Here are Coach Tim's comments about the tournament.......
"I would like to commend our defense for their performance this weekend.
Playing against perhaps our toughest competition on Sunday, we shutout 2
very good teams. With spectacular saves from Desiree and Callie in goal,
and relentless pressure from Haley, Ashton, and Megan, our defense kept us
in the games until our offense could get going and score some goals. We
had solid midfield play from Lilly, Taylor, and Sidney and very exciting
attacking play from Hayley, Felicia, and Courtney. I was very encouraged
to see as we stepped up our level of competition in this tournament, as a
team, we stepped up our level of play. Congratulations girls on a well
deserved championship."
