The CNLL 2011-12 Membership

As Chandler National Little League prepares to close out another successful year, there is much to be proud of.  Over 1000 players participated in the various levels of play.  Along the way, they learned valuable life lessons about the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, and learning to compete and perform at each individual's personal best.  They also learned about good sportsmanship, teamwork, and made some new friends, all while learning and playing the great game of baseball.

All of this happens through the efforts of our coaches, parents, sponsors, umpires, and of course the players themselves.  Together we have built a league with a proud tradition of success, not only in Little League baseball, but in serving our community.

As you can imagine, it takes the leadership, effort, and a little bit of time from many volunteers to make this league what it is today.  We need your help.  Please consider being a Member of the CNLL.  There are several opportunities to leverage and grow your talents while giving back to the community.  Talk to an existing CNLL Member of the Board of Directors.  Their names and email addresses can be found at the Board of Directors link on this web site.

You should become a Member of CNLL if:
  • You are curious about what it takes to make a league that supports over 1000 players in your community successful.
  • You have ideas about how the league could be even better.  Perhaps you have some ideas about how to improve the game schedule, running the tryouts or the player draft (in the higher divisions), improving our facilities, fundraising, or recruiting and selecting our regular season and All Star team managers.

Thank you for your consideration!

Shade on fields 9 and 10 are NOW up

Chandler National Little League is proud to announce that we have added new shade structures for field 9 and field 10 home dugout side at Snedigar Sports Complex.

This is the result of our shade structure fundraising efforts the last few years. CNLL is proud to provide additional comfort for our players and families during the games.

Thank you for your support!

End of Game Rule Clarification

The league rules for the end of games have been adjusted as follows:

  • Rookie & A Minors Divisions:  No new inning after 1 hour.  Once an inning has started it will be completed.
  • AA Minors, AAA Minors Divisions:  No new inning after 1 hour, 40 minutes.  Once an inning has started, it will be completed.
  • Majors Division:  No new inning after 1 hour, 55 minutes.  Once an inning has started, it will be completed.
  • Juniors Division:  No new inning once the game has gone 1 hour, 45 minutes.  Drop dead at 2 hours.  This aligns with the district guidelines, as these games are inter-league.

The official game start time will be recorded by the umpires.  Game scorekeepers, managers, and umpires should synchronize timekeeping devices at the start of the game, but the umpire's time is the official time.  Managers are encouraged to keep the games moving, allowing no more than 1-2 minutes between innings to position the defense and for the pitcher to warm up.

On December 30, 2010 Little League International announced that NO COMPOSITE BARREL BATS will be allowed for Little League play in the Majors division (age 11-12) and below.  At the same time, a process was put in place for individual bats to be granted a waiver.

Please refer to these pages to see if your bat has been approved for the Majors divison (league age 11-12) and below:

In the Juniors division (age 13-14), composite barrel bats have also been banned.  Please refer to this list of 2 5/8" barrel bats that have been granted a waiver:

A waiver process is in place that could allow some additional models of composite bats to be approved.

Snedigar Safety Reminders

Please keep all children away from the equipment and do not allow them to play on or with league equipment, city equipment or climbing on fences. The safety of the children is most important to us, and playing with or on the equipment has lead to some nasty accidents, please watch your children.
.
The water used to maintain the fields at Snedigar is reclaimed sewer water. When sprinklers are in use to maintain condition of the fields, please keep children off the fields and away from the water.
..
The mound covers on all fields are used to keep the mounds moist, usable, and safe for the players. Please do not play on the covered mounds.
.
The gate between fields 7 & 8 is to be closed at all times. For the safety of all, only players, coaches, umpires and league staff are to be past the gate.
.
Help us keep Snedigar a great place for all to enjoy and keep every one safe!
.
Thank You,
CNLL Board of Directors
