Welcome to Challenger Little League of Lancaster County, Pa!!
For those of you who may not be familiar with Challenger, this Little League Division offers children, age 5-18 (or upon completion of school), the opportunity to enjoy baseball regardless of the challenges they face. It is an extremely safe environment where winning is least important, but where making every player feel like a winner is the highest priority. Challenger is intended for all children who are not able to play in a traditional baseball environment due to any physical or mental challenge they may have.
Your child deserves to know the thrill that comes with success, and you deserve to see your child thrive in a program built on a foundation of caring, supportive volunteers. A large percentage of our coaches and helpers are parents or siblings of our players. That’s something that makes the program so successful. All games are on Sunday afternoons starting either at 1:30 or 3:00 depending on that week’s schedule. Games last for approximately one and a half hours with every player participating every inning.
If you know of someone who is interested in Challenger, have them complete the on-line application or contact myself by March 15, 2009!!! There is No fee to play. We provide uniforms, field use, great fellowship activities, and America’s greatest past-time activity to all who want to play. Challenger is fully funded by an annual golf outing each year plus other private donations. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Michael or Deb DeBerdine at (717) 871-0509 or e-mail at mdeberdine@comcast.net. Come join us for the upcoming season. (The first game is April 26, 2009).
