Savannah Newton Challenger Little League Baseball (SNCLL)
The Challenger Division of Little League is a program for mentally and physically challenged youth, helping them to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. More than the skills of baseball learned through the experience, the value of the Little League Challenger Division is found in the proven therapeutic and socialization benefits of participating in sports, the strengthening of participants’ self-esteem, the opportunities to mainstream into other divisions of play, and the disciplines of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play, which are hallmarks of the Little League program. The Little League Challenger Division provides the framework so Little League programs may offer a structured, athletic activity for all youth in their communities. Playing with the same equipment on the same fields, Challenger Division participants have the opportunity to experience the joys of pulling together as a team, being cheered, and earning awards for their achievements.
Location: at this time all SNCLL games and practices are at Canopy Oaks Community Park 3250 Point View Dr. Tallahassee, Fl.
Dates: SNCLL games and practices are held on weekends starting in March thru about the 2nd weekend in May. Each team plays once a week either Friday night or Saturday.

TEAM SPONSORSHIP:
We want our players to enjoy the best fields, equipment, training accessories and low registration fees. To do this, we depend on sponsors for our teams. Every season we hope to have a sponsor for each team. Sponsorship forms are available in the “Forms” section of this website. In addition to the recognition on the team jerseys, each sponsor will receive a picture-plaque of the team it sponsors. We will also list your company’s name on our web site. For more information contact us at: 850-668-9428 or email us through our contact link located on the left side of this web page.
A big “THANK YOU” to our 2008 Baseball team sponsors:

Volunteers
We are always in need of volunteers! Our greatest need is volunteers to serve as "Buddies". Buddies provide assistance to players as needed. This may be in the form of pushing a wheelchair, providing encouragement and guidance, running with your player, etc… All players are encouraged to play as independently as possible. Potential volunteers may contact us through our contact link located on the left side of this web page.
