Welcome to the Colonie Girls Softball Website
Our league, located at the Lishakill Sports Complex, is a fastpitch softball league for girls age 5 thru 16. Our season runs from the end of April thru June. Games are played on Saturday mornings and weeknights. Fall ball, travel and tournament team play is offered as well!

2012 Softball Registration Now Open
Registering for the upcoming season is easy. You may register one of three ways:
1. Online. Just click on the Register Online button above and go!
2. Print the required 2012 Registration form(s) from the “HANDOUTS LINK”. Complete and mail it along with your payment to the address listed on the form. REGISTRATION FORM, MEDICAL RELEASE and CODE OF CONDUCT FORMS REQUIRED.
3. Come to Lishakill Middle School by the main gymnasium on January 9th or 11th, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 and register in person at our first week of winter clinics.
New players to the league must mail in a copy of their birth certificate.
If the South Colonie School district cancels school or after school activities due to weather - then clinics will be cancelled for that night

Refer a Player Program
"Refer a Player Program" New for the 2012 season:
Colonie Girls Softball will be offering a $25 Rebate to any registered paid player who brings a new player into the league. This is open to any players of any age.
- Both players must be paid and registered in full.
- Registration forms must indicate who the new player is referred by.
- A new player is considered a player that has not registered with CGS in previous years.
- A person claiming a rebate needs to email the Player Agent (Mary Kurtzner at playeragentcol@aol.com) to confirm eligibility at the close of registration.
- Board Members and their families are not eligible.
- The rebate will be issued Opening Day.

2012 Colonie Pitching Clinic - Monday Night @ Lisha Kill is full
Through a series of drills and techniques, our goal is to provide a solid skill foundation for younger players.
The cost is $65 for 8 sessions. The Clinics will be held at Lisha Kill Middle School (68 Waterman Ave).
The times will be 6:30-7:30. The clinic will be reserved for the first 12 girls.
Please reserve your spot as soon as possible. You must be registered with the league in order to participate in clinics.
Please bring sneakers, your glove and a adult or approved catcher for the pitchers.
The 3 instructors are all currently Division 1 University of Albany Pitchers.

Colonie Softball congratulates the 12U Colonie Diamond Girls on their first place finish in the 2011 12U Adirondack Sports Complex Summer Tournament!
Colonie Softball congratulates the 12U Colonie Crossfire on their second place finish in the 2011 12U Adirondack Sports Complex Summer Tournament!
The Diamond Girls won a hard fought championship game 4-2 against the Crossfire.
Great Job Girls!
Colonie Girls Softball Mission Statement
It is the mission of Colonie Girls Softball to serve the community by providing an environment for girls to learn and enjoy the game of fastpitch softball. We will give these girls the opportunity to develop skills that will give them lifelong success, such as sportsmanship, team work, honesty, courage, self discipline, and fair play.
