Barb Bennett Softball Pitching Clinics

Players will instructed on:

Strong fundamentals

Various pitches: fastball, change-up, drop ball, rise ball, curve ball, and screw-ball.

Pitchers role as a defensive player

Moving the ball across the plate

Strategies used when pitching

Meet at Oran Good Park on the following Saturday dates: (If you can’t attend all sessions,

attend those you are able)

April 12, 26

May 17, 24, 31 and June 7

9:00-10:30a.m. = 8U and 10U pitchers

11:00-12:30a.m. = 12U and 14U pitchers

8U - 10U will be taught fundamentals, fastball and change-up along with hitting various parts of the plate.

12U will be instructed in fundamentals, fastball, change-up, drop ball, rise ball, curve, and screw ball pitches.

Each pitcher will need to attend the clinics with their glove along, with an adult that will be catching for them during the clinic.

Each Session will be 1 1/2 hours of warm-ups, drills, and fundamentals.

 

About our Instructor “Coach Barb” Bennett.

Coach Barb has over 35 years of coaching and playing experience. She has been giving lessons for over 20 years. She is a member of the Waldorf College Hall of Fame and during her college career was ranked 4th in the nation. She has coached at the middle school and high school levels throughout her career and has helped several players receive college scholarships.
