TPR Baseball: Nations Baseball Announcemnt
Monday, December 1
Major Announcement for 2009 TPR Baseball.
TPR Baseball is joining Nations Baseball for the 2009 baseball season. All of our events will now be sponsored by Nations Baseball. After four years with Baseball Player’s Association, we have decided to make the change to an up-and-coming nationally recognized sanctioning body. Nations Baseball has recruited some of the biggest and best directors from across the country and is striving to become the most complete program around. It was our time to get on board with a champion program that is headed to the top.
We are also excited about working with Nor Cal Travel Ball, the biggest travel baseball program in Northern California for 2008. TPR Baseball and Nor Cal Travel Ball combined will propel Nations Baseball to the biggest program in Northern California. Some highlights of Northern California’s Nations Baseball for 2009:
- The most tournaments at Big League Dreams Manteca, 14 dates total.
- Exclusive Dates at Mistlin Fields, Ripon
- TPR Baseball Summer Championships coming July 16-19, sanctioned by Nations Baseball, 117 teams in 2008.
- Points Ranking System that will accurately rank teams
- Innovative ideas coming for 2009 like our TOP TEN events of 2008.
- Commitment to improving our umpires through training, evaluating, and increasing our numbers.
Making this change to Nations Baseball will improve the quality of baseball for teams by:
1. Providing a National Points Ranking System
2. Having a National Championship Destination for all Ages.
3. Effectively Monitoring Players on Rosters
4. Joining forces with Nor Cal Travel Ball to assure no date conflicts and bigger and better tournaments!
5. Giving teams one less sanctioning body to have to sign up for.
TPR Baseball will still be providing the best baseball experience we possibly can. Our tournament events are only going to get better. Manteca’s Big League Dreams recognized our quality events and increased our tournament dates there from zero to FIVE! We will roll out a new website soon. We will make the payment and sign up process easier. And we will continue to improve our umpires and attention to detail.
New information will be posted on our website by December 14 along with our complete schedule. As Nations Baseball’s website continues to be completed, we will inform you of sign up information and getting sanctioned through Nations.
We are looking forward to our biggest year yet and hope that you will help us make that possible. Mark your calendar for our first weekend, January 24-25 for all ages at Mistlin and Rainbow. Good Luck in 2009!
