Sunday, April 23What does the registration fee cover?
Below is an estimated 2006 Centreville Little League budget. This is based upon fees already incurred and upon 2005 expenses. This covers the regular season ONLY, and DOES NOT include tournament team expenses.
Estimated cost per athlete is approximately $45.
FYI -- Although the Village of Centreville owns the parks, budget constraints inhibit contributions from them; thus, Centreville Little League provides all updates to the fields and equipment by registration fees, the sign program, the concession stand or volunteers/contributions.
ALL FIGURES ARE APPROXIMATE:
Little League Charter, Insurance, and District fees --
$2750.00
Uniforms -- $6045.00
Postage, Printing, Office Supplies -- $350.00
Equipment Updates (helmets, bats, bases, catchers' equipment) -- $1400.00
Balls (game balls at all levels cost an average of $3.69 per ball) -- $1200.00
Field Maintenance (bleacher and shed repair, new tubing, paint, roofing supplies, benches, moon dust, chalk) -- $1450.00
Umpires -- $1500.00
Education -- Coaches' Training/Supplies -- $250.00
Awards/Medals -- $400.00
When we sponsor All-Star teams, we have additional costs of $1500-$2000 per season.
This information is provided for informational purposes only because we want to keep you up to date on what we are doing for the 300+ athletes who play in our program.

Equipment Information
Many parents choose to purchase equipment for their children rather than use the equipment provided through Little League -- which we totally support.
VOLUNTEERS IN LITTLE LEAGUE
PLEASE NOTE: If you plan to volunteer at any level for Centreville Little League 2006, you will be required to complete a volunteer application form and a copy of your driver's license. We are required to provide new copies each year, so even if you completed a volunteer app last year and had a copy of your license, we need to have both again this year.
IMPORTANT -- Beginning in the 2007 Season -- NOT 2006, all players will be required to wear helmets with face masks. If you purchase a helmet for your child this year, we suggest that you purchase one with a mask already attached or one that can be adapted for a mask. MC Sports sells the masks alone for about $15. Purchasing a helmet with a mask will probably cost around $30.

EQUIPMENT SWAP
Has your child outgrown his/her cleats? Have extra baseball pants sitting in the closet? Extra mitts taking up space? Extra bats leaning in a corner?
If you have extra "stuff" you'd like to eliminate during your spring cleaning, we'd like to offer this "stuff" to other players in Little League. If you have quality, used items you'd like to donate to another player, please let me (Jean) know, and I'll happily post it on this site. All donations should be in ready-to-use condition.
If you need "stuff" for your player, let me know, and I'll try to hook you up!
