A pat on the back for our site from the sponsors. Just one more accomplishment we can be proud of. It takes all of us to make this league a standout on all fronts.

Football Doldrums?
Football as played in the Fall of a year, has ended and the Winter and Spring months are often those of waiting for flag footballers. To cushion these weeks of withdrawal, the Central Massachusetts Flag Football Association will soon begin placing on this site the top scoring player records from past seasons.

To start, CLICK "HANDOUTS" folder to check the top 10 yearly scorers in the Program's original Men's leagues. These are the first or CITY LEAGUE (1971 - 1989) and the COMMUNITY LEAGUE (1974 - 1989). WATCH FOR OTHER LEAGUES TO BE ADDED IN TIME.

Question of the Week!!

In digging through the archives,  way back in 1992, the organization
inaugurated the Legends League with the help of the Taylor brothers.
Only two teams participated that year, playing each other week after week
and ironing out the kinks of a new format. There are a number of members of
those original teams still kicking the ball around, but the question is.....

What were the official names of those two teams?¿

Any one have the answer? E-mail me and we'll let everyone else in on this bit
of trivia and you'll get an opportunity to post your mug shot on this site.

New Look for Millbury Monsoon!

So you're the Director of Referees for the League and work a lot of them too. You go home and there's nobody around to get things off your chest.

Looks like Gerry Kelly figured out a way to solve that problem just before the holidays. Congratulations to Gerry and his new wife Deb! Amoung other things, they're enjoying the weather in Hawaii on their honeymoon.

Farewell To Another Season

As we approach the end of the year of 2000, it's fitting to reflect over a great
year for the league as well. We now head into the new millennium and the league's
30th year, and one last time congratulate the following teams in winning the titles
in their respective leagues:

Men's City League -
Mac's Place
Runner-up - End Zone Pub

Community League -
Millbury Monsoon
Runner-up - Nick's

Legends League -
Friendly House
Runner-up - Wilson Sporting/Plantation Pub

CoRec League -
Plantation Pub
Runner-up - Danielson Dawgs

Many thanks to the league staff, officials, players, sponsors, family and friends
who have a part to play in making this league into a sporting event that people look forward to with
anticipation every year. As a representative of the Legends League, I can honestly attest to the
camaraderie, respect, sportsmanship and plain old good time had by the participants. Most of us have
come to the realization that it's a "game". Win or lose, it's fun and it's exercise and
it's socializing and it's taking your mind off the stresses we all go through in life.

Next year's season will be here before we know it, so for now, here's wishing everyone
a Great Holiday Season and the best life has to offer in the New Year.
