  Fall of 2011 Divisions
Select Season:

Legend's League (Seven Man Touch Format)
Founded in 1992, the Legend's League is limited to male players age 35 and over except for a few waivers allowed each team for participants age 30-35.

One-hand touch is the format of game play between seven-player teams in the Legend's League. This league allows the older person who still desires participation in a physical activity and a competitive team sport an outlet.

Legend's League season is 10 regular-season games followed by play-offs for qualifying teams. Season begins right after Labor Day and runs to about December 1st.

All plays found in regulation football can occur in Legend's League play. Games are played on a regulation-width field that can be 80 or 100 yards in length goal-to-goal. Game time is 60 minutes divided into 30 minute halves. Each half is further divided into a 28 minute running-time and 2 minute stop-time period.

Game days are Sunday mornings and Monday and/or Tuesday evenings. Legend's League contests are officiated by two referees drawn from the active roster of the Central Massachusetts Football Referee Association.

Teams before each season pay a "sponsor fee" and each individual a modest personal fee.
This league employs a "contract system" and its open roster period ends the second week of the season. Teams are allowed up to 18 players but must enroll 16 who meet age requirements.

Official Rules and Regulations are provided any group that demonstrates serious interest in membership by making application and paying a sponsor fee down payment.

Men's Flag League (Nine Man Flag Format)
The Men's Flag Football League is the oldest unit in the CMFFA inventory. Designed for veteran teams with experienced players, the Flag League plays a nine-man format with the three interior men on a seven-man offensive line ineligible to touch a legal forward pass.

League teams play a 10 game regular-season schedule followed by play offs for qualified teams. Format of play is nine-man modified physical contact in games of 60 minute duration divided into two 30 minute halves with each having a 25 minute running-time segment followed by a 5 minute stopped-time segment.

Team rosters allow a maximum total of 30 with a minimum of 21 players required. Rosters close after the third game of season.

Games are played on regulation width fields that are either 80 or 100 yards in length located in the City of Worcester. Game days are Sunday mornings, Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Flag League games are officiated by three officials drawn from the active roster of the Central Massachusetts Football Referee Association.

Teams pay a required and standard "sponsor's fee" with each participant also assessed a modest fee. Fee levels are set each season and are payable before a season begins.

Official Rules and Association Regulations are provided all serious applicant teams.
